Servers Down - No Notice - Network Status - Poor Service

My characters are on the Oasis server. 

It's after 3:00am (on the US east coast) on September 1st and I still can't play. I haven't been able to since early Friday morning. I've cleaned the dirty dishes, watched some TV, taken a nap, and done little else except lurk here and poke around the house all day (and half the night). 

I'll live.

I don't know what went wrong, or where, or how, but I can't do anything about it.

It occurred to me that, somewhere at this very moment, there's a group of people working hard, spending part of their Labor Day weekend (literally 'burning the midnight oil&#39 fixing whatever's wrong.

I want to thank those folks - and Gnobrin and Kirstie for staying on top of the update posts.

Are they even working on the Mistmoore server...all others servers were locked with in 15 minutes of other coming up. I have noticed that the last 2 servers on the server status page (Mistmoore and Oasis) are just down.

some answers here..check the last page and entry...i have no idea when those times started since her post does not reflect the time it was written.  i guess i am tired and didn't noticed the time there in the corner...me bad.  at least there is some idea now...but tack on about an extra 2hrs to that time and thats more likely when it will go up.

latest news from the front lines is about 90 minutes for Mistmoore and Oasis.Runnyeye and Sebilis etas haven't changed.- K

Yeah, the time posted is shown in Pacific time for most of us, if we haven't changed the timezone in our options.  So the projected time for them to be up is around 5:30 am Eastern, 4:30 am Central.  Bummer.

Slightly off, but how do you change the time zone?  I've never been able to find that option for this board.

Sorry 'bout that... most forums allow you to change the displayed time zone in your Profile.  Apparently this one doesn't.  I never tried to change mine cause I automatically assumed Pacific time and adjusted in my mind.

And this issue all over a card game (even if SOE says it wasn't). Because everything was up and running fine this morning before the patch.......

Informational update!

• The present issue was caused due to a recent hotfix meant to assist in the issues of a very few players, hence the odd circumstances now.
• The gremlins that caused this issue have nothing to do with Legends of Norrath.

There's still no present ETA for the fix's completion.  The team's working feverishly on getting the troubles ironed out.  If I hear anything more, I'll update this post!

Thank you for writing a nice, sane post! It's a refreshing change from all the screaming that's going on elsewhere. For once someone understands that when things go wrong -- and it's not like anyone wants anything to go wrong -- the people involved can't just automatically fix the problem with a snap of the fingers.

I think the card game looks kinda cool, but they shouldn't be using live servers as testing grounds IMO.

Odd linking to US-servers. The servers themselves should be up, but unable to login Have been trying for 3 hours now.Out of boredom I made a char on the test server. Made me think about the test method they use

I have kept quiet because i realize these things happens sometimes and since this hasnt happened in awhile it didnt bother me..........until i awoke this morning and saw RE was STILL down. Now im ticked./rant off =p

I guess i can look at it this way....Least my toons are getting some much needed vit =p

ALTHOUGH extra vit for the servers that have been down so long would be nice also =)

This new Patch proves they don't pretest these patches. these kind of problems would have shown up in a normal test run.

does any1 possibly know why i cant login? lastnight i zoned into tenebrous triangle, nd my game crashed, and ive been trying for hours too log back in, ive tried all my charcters, or where u go onto character select, but nothing will work, it just keeps saying that i should retry in a couple of minutes? can anyone help me?

Server is up but login server is down.  No issues on Splitpaw - something to do with a botched hotfix on US based servers and the Splitpaw login server being tied to RE server.ETA is 1200 BST

In short.  If you read the thread that has now reached 106 pages, you'll see the problem.  It will give you something to read while you wait for the servers to come back up.

lol,,, when was the last update ( at 1254 PST) and they said that the Mistmoore server would be up in 90 minutes. The servers have not been even test yet,  you would know this by the servers bing LOCKED, which has not happened all night.

They prolly turned off awarding vit just to [Removed for Content] us off more

Yeah, it's a little more than 35 minutes past that time according to my reckoning. MM has been up/locked a couple times in the last few minutes. We'll see something soon, I hope.

Actually, Mistmoore was just locked like 5 minutes ago for an entire...minute or so.
