![]() The countdown is on. I am a Ranger and have been since day 1. I am also a raiding Ranger and do so 4 nights a week. My problem is that I have a finite amount of cash, 95 plat, and when it's gone then it'll be Game Over for me unless my fellow Rangers can help. I made all of my money farming back in DoF when Rangers were over-powered. I left the game shortly after making level 70 and came back in March. Since then I have spent about ¾ of my money and have almost 0 income. First, I don't know where to go or what to farm to make any substantial amount of cash. Yes, as a raider my needs are sometimes taken care of by my guild, but we have an expansion coming and the cost of supplies and upgrades will be great. Secondly, I don't have the time that I used to, to devote to farming hour after hour the way I did before. I know there is no magic money tree and I know that it will take a lot of effort, but all I really need is to be able to make enough to stay afloat. People generally don't like giving up their hunting secrets, but I am closing in on the desperate bottom line and I fear that I will not last to see level 80.. So if some kind Ranger would please point me in the right direction and show me where to go and what to do I would be forever grateful. |

![]() Oh my [Removed for Content] god... When I read the words finite and 95 plat next to each other, I nearly fell out of my [Removed for Content] chair laughing. I am a casual raider and survive on only having an average of 3 plat on me at any given time. And yet, between repairs (about 70% of my gear is fabled), buying arrows (use summoned arrows on trash to conserve crafted, or try to get bazzy) and keeping my self stocked on grandmaster's caustic, this is more than enough. I also have almost all my spells at ad3, and quite a few at master. So yeah, please get over your 'finite' amount of cash and put the work into farming. Just my 2 cp.

So yeah, all I got out of that post was this. Even though you have 95p, which is a good amount for any ranger, you feel you need more. I can only assume that when you said "and when it's gone then it'll be Game Over for me" that you mean to quit once you have 0p? That is, unless someone here tells you exactly where to go and how to make money. I'll tell you how to make money. You might even be surprised with how simple it is. However, check this out. First you gotta kill stuff. You can do this solo, or in a group. After you kill stuff, you loot stuff. This could be body loot, or chests. Then, you take that loot, and you sell it one of 2 ways. On the broker, or to a merchant somewhere. There isnt anywhere we can tell you to go to farm for cash that you shouldnt already know if you've been back since March. Thats 5-6 months you've been back, depending on exactly when you came back. Surely by now, raiding 4 nights a week, you've seen all of KoS, and EoF. Pick a zone that cons to you and start killing. Oh, and dont mention it. Im glad I could help out. Happy hunting.

Yeah, 95 plat is an assload and most of the good equipment is no-trade so you won't be buying it anyway.

I went on a DT raid last week (to get my Claymore), and was lucky enough to come out with a Master that I sold (to a hard core raider) for 20p. Now I have no idea what I'm going to do with that much money.

![]() I am so sorry, for I made a mistake. That was not 95 ( ninety five) that was suposed to be 9.5 ( 9 plat 50 gold ). I'm sorry, that's what happens when I try writting late at night. Now 9 plat is still good by most standards but I started to panic last night when I dropped below 10 plat. When I first came back in March, I had over 40 plat and it has steadily gone down since. In-game it says my sales is 12+ plat but I don't really know where I got that much stuff to sell. I have tried to find some place to farm, but so far Loping PLains is all I can come up with and the income there sure doesn't add up very well. Again, I apologize for my error. It so distorted what I was hopeing to say. |

I'm not really a cash machine but I earn my living by just selling adepts on the broker for around 9g each, plus I get some (not much) cash from tradeskilling, collectibles, Lore and Legend stuff and whatever pieces of equipment I get my hands on. I had around 25p this way when I hit lvl 60, spent a lot of it on masters and AD3s, but I normally float somewhere over 10p.

Just the other day, while running from one zone to another (EoF somewheres) I stopped for a shiney and picked up a rare. Normally they go for 1p or so, but the one I happened to find had only one other on the broker at 5p or so. Sold mine for 4p in just a few days.

![]() any zones which have lots of solo 1 2 or 3 down arrow mobs is good for harvest cash also, roll an alt and just lvl it up... you'll be surprised how much cash it can produce adept1:s 2-4g / piece, same with treasured gear + trash loot... sometimes some lucky master drop + of course shineys... hey and if you bother to harvest some while ya play... bingo i also didi this, because i wanted to play some other classes besides my ranger... sadly i fell in love to my warden too much... ack, poor ranger... not gettin the attention it should, sniff ranger life is hard... imo, compared to many other classes since its quite expensive... but you need to gain some cash in order to mainatin your nice DPS in raids, so... get your b*tt out and start farming ++Xan

![]() Im far too lazy to solo PP, Nest or Achadchism. However, I dont mind a duo. I will often run these zones with one of my guildies. Often its our Conjy. I make him tank. Hey I said I was lazy already, give me a break. So if you have a friend or guildie that actually likes you (and yes, most of the time the Conjy is the only one that likes me

When i need cash i do mmc and pp runs. Since im euro based i have no prob enter mmc at desertet hours to kill the 5 nameds in the lower floor and the 3 in the upper close to the thralls room. Theyr all on a fixed timer so should be up unless someone just killed them... and even then theyr gona repop without PHs except the Seneshal whos on a shorter timer. I used to kill maid and butler aswell but since the /target changes its still doable but not worth the effort anymore. When u got all nameds in catas down and time for another round check the solo nameds in lopings to pass the waiting. Lots of em are up most of the time and they also drop treasured gear goin for 6-10gold each. One round of killing those mobs normally gives u 2-3plat with a chance of masters. This run might be tough thou if u can only play during the rush hours since theres lots of farmers there. Poets palace requires some luck to get rich since ive seen hardly any masters from solo runs. But the wood drops from the nameds should at least come up for poisons etc. that u need on raids.

You don't have the time to farm for hours and hours each day? No prob, I'm a highschooler that deals with homework, girlfriend, choir, church, job, etc. and I can still manage to make an easy one or two plat a day, you just gotta know how to get it. Go shiny-hunting and sell the rares, they sell for at least 1p a piece. Harvest occasionally and you'll get at least a couple rares a week if you arent serious about it (and the money stacks up eventually.) Don't want to go to a dangerous spot? Just buy the Maj'dul pets and sell them on the broker for about 50-75g and you make easy money, considering you buy the pets from the merchant for about 60s. The money is out there waiting to be made, you just gotta get creative in how you make it.

Farming instances, collecting shinies, and tradeskilling are how I make money nowadays. I have a limited amount of time I can play also so when I'm on I try to do stuff I know will make me some money. The occasional master helps but I make the most from tradeskilling and keeping needed items on the broker that sell fast.
