test copy - what is copied over

I have tried a few searches to find this info, but come up blank. If we copy a character over to the test server, what items are copied over with them? I would like to copy a few of my crafters over to test new crafting stuff when it comes along, and would like to know if raws etc.. are carried over. ( I know I should bite the bullet and roll one on the main test server, but with a full set on live servers, just can't face the grind SMILEY

You should roll on Test anyway. We'd love to have you and this clone server will only be temporary anyway.

Thats true the Clone server is going to probly be Wiped(and possably retasked as the BETA server) after LU38 goes live.

The server will probably be wiped and reopened numerous times as large changes get implemented that they would like more testing done on. It really serves no purpose to stay open all the time, it only really needs to be open when a test update comes out.

It was turned PVE anyway.

Also I really think they need to just keep an open test server. The point of a test server is to test things. The only gripe the test community had was that everyone would copy to their server and ruin it...well. Problem solved.

Ya, I just want to test the dual wield changes by making an instance group or something. Screw it, Labs pick-up group imo.

Yeah, same here. I took a Soulfire Sabre instead of a Gladius in anticipation of the change. Itching to try it out.

Guarantee you the week after the change goes live, Wuoshi will drop an Axe of Natural Order, though. SMILEY

How do I log into a character that is copied to the test server?

Yesterday when I started up EQ2, I clicked on the little Test server button on the bottom right of my login screen and went through loads of downloads and updates. I then logged into my main on my regular server and did the /testcopy add got a message something like ‘use /testcopy remove to stop the copy'. I assume this means that the character was ready to be copied over night. I tried to log into my toon today - started EQ2, clicked on the Test server button, it checked for updates, but my character selection did not show anything different other than my characters on my normal server. I did not see anyone listed that showed something like a test server. So I selected the name of the toon that I copied and hit Play. The little information bar came up with the error message ‘trying to locate server #1' or something like that. I eventually had to hit quit as this message did not change. I was able to log into my character on my normal server this morning so its not an ISP issue.

What am I missing here?

The drop down list on the patcher window doesnt update (sometimes) from test. You need to log into the character select screen from the test patcher, then select your toon.

don't expect to see many people. this was mainly reopened to test the duel wield to one hander weapon changes. people that are really interested will only be on there maybe an hour tops. they'll kill a bunch of mobs with different weapons, wields, and delays to parse data and leave.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but forgive me. About how long does it take your /testcopy character to show up on the Character Select screen? I used the /testcopy add command some time last night, and I figured maybe it would be available by now.
