The developers have stated that they have no intentions to ever adding in a new class until all 24 are perfectly balanced within thier own archetypes in soloing, raid utility, grouping, general PVE, and PVP. In other words, never.

ahh, do you mean more appearance customization? I am all with it! I want my dwarf a pair of glasses! (I do have a glass-featured ratonga and gnome, but I want my dwarf a pair of glasses! *scream*

*cough* Actually, if there's no new class in future expansion is completely okay to me, but why not more appearance features on our characters? More hairstyles, beards (for dwarf of course lol), scars, accessories on the face.. etc.. It would be cool, isn't it? SMILEY

This may come after the Skelital revamp, who knows.

Will additional classes be added, most likely not ever.  The current infrastructure of the game is based on 4 archetypes with 6 classes in each based on 3 divisions.  Adding any additional classes would be complicated, most likely unbalancing and more work then Sony will put into the game.  It would also not be only 1 class, 25 just doesnt fit, it would be at least 2 (a good and evil version).

As for customization, well,  probably not other then AA that fit within your class type.

Which brings to mind, are ogre mages not strong enough to carry around heavy plate armor?  How can a fairy fit into the same BP an armorer makes for a troll?

*customization is too complicated and does NOT fit in the current system*

one thing i would love to see since there will be no new classes is multiclassing.

Kinda like the system in FFX! or even GuildWars, where you take a secondary class and you can use some of thier skills and abilities ... to a lesser extent (don't want guardians using ice nova lol)

Any type of class defining or redefining will most likely be continued to be done through AA.

An interesting idea could be something like the prestige classes in D&D PnP. Depending on any number of things (deity, allignement, race, etc.) you could get a specialisation in your class. This can be done even via AAs, just get some new trees with specific requirements.
