That green creature about a third of the way through looks about as Froglok/Dragon as you can get.  Do you suppose the Sarnak (and possibly others) have got some flying cavalry action going on?

That certainly looked like a Sokokar. I wouldn't be suprised if it was too since both the Sarnak and the Sokokor were made by the same, King Atrebe of the Iskar Empire.

Wow. We don't know what a Sokokar looks like, as they have no physical appearance in EQlive. All we have to go by is descriptions of them, and I'd say that looks like one. Awesome.

hmm.. 1:33. I bet that's Venril.

Looks pretty cool from the video, although the sarnaks' heads seem to be very...well, big. 0:45 has a sword going through one of their heads.  Really hope stuff like that doesn't make it into the final version of the expansion.

Why not? Wouldn't that be a selling point? Being able to actually stick a sword through the head of a sarnak SMILEY

In EverQuest's lore the Sokokar were described as huge flying beasts used by the Iksar empire as mounts. Honestly the creature in that video looks more like a Sebilite Golem.

I think the original poster was talking about the thing with wings that appears just before tehy show Chardok. The one that litterally looks like someone took a froglok and stretched it out and then gave it wings. It shows up just before they show the non player Sarnak.

No, because there are creatures later on in the trailer that look just like that.

The Golem *WAS* shown in that video.

The Sokokar is at 1:08. (Green. Amphibious in design. Has wings. Pretty large)

The Golem is at 2:15. (See above picture)

If that is Venril I'm kind of sad to see they made him red. It's quite possible to get an Iksar to the sort of bluish grey color that they originally were (and Venril was) back in EQ1. He's already using the right scale pattern for it.

I'm worried that is the Red Lord, and it looks like he isn't in his little room any more.  What business Lord Nagafen has in Kunark can't be good business.
