![]() vega this is a workaround not a fix, and may get you banned (see my post on page 16 its funny) but in all seriousness your fix will result in a crash eventually when the memory is completely filled up. The problem is that the game is requesting more and more memory without releasing already used memory which it should be doing. There is a memory leak somewhere that is tied directly to the grahpics, and probably dx10 or the game isn't interacting with dx10 properly and using the right commadns to release. Either way, while completely sarcastic elsewhere, I do believe this is a dx10 issue and the coders have to go in by hand to view the code which can take a very long time. Hopefully they'll find it sooner rather then later. |

![]() This game doesn't use DX10, it uses a DX9 renderer. I will have to check your post, but the getting banned thing is tossed around a lot for doing anything. I have run the game non stop for six hours with the highest graphics settings. The memory never filled up and it never crashed. It does release some of the old graphics because when I zone the memory use goes down then back up but never goes above 2gb. |

![]() Like he said thats a work around... You also dont mention (or didn't realize) you have to have a 64 bit system for this to work (if you have a 32 bit system you have to edit the boot.ini). Also people that dont have more then 2GB of memory shouldnt try that as it will probably just cause more funkyness to occur. If your not sure how much memory you have then I can almost guarentee you dont have more the 2GB |
