I have always wanted racial mounts in EQ2. If it copies WoW so what? If it's a good idea then use it.

if you rats get cat mounts only i'd think only fair that keerans should get giant rat mounts. and if that happens i'll sit back and watch with great ammusment. althou those of us that play frogloks should giant dragon fly to ride around on. but that would mean holding off the urge to eat our mount!

I'm OK with it as long as there's a 10% chance per minute of the cat turning on you and devouring your character with a really neat animation. Could be entertaining during a raid. SMILEY

OK you got me I should have said I would like to copy WoW and have the taurens in the EQ2. Tauren Pallie would rule in combat. Heck lets just copy everything from WoW and then call the game EQ2W (Everquest 2 Warcraft) that way we get all the best of both games. Wait lets not stop there and add Guild Wars in to the mix because I want a Fire Elementalist so I can nuke everything in game. That would be so cool. Then we could call the game EQ2WG (EverQuest2 Warcraft Guild). Wait, wait, add the jedi and Wookies from SWG with full lightsabers that people could use, Name EQ2WGG ( EverQuest2 Warcraft Guild Galaxies). Yeah that would be sweet.. lol

Lets try not to copy from Warcraft or any other game and let EQ2 shine as a game that doesn't imitate but is original.

I doubt there is anything in WoW that is original, just because WoW have racial mounts that doesn't mean eq2 shouldn't add something similar, I think its a bad idea because it doesn't fit eq2 fantasy style, I mean a ratonga with a cat mount would be funny and cool but doesn't make sense hehe, and also its a waste of resources, if there's anything eq2 would need related to mounts would be change the ugly flying bird griffon SMILEY

what really lacks in eq2 is armor variety and character costumization imho...

I don't pillage from other sites but this was too good: (stolen from link, for others who dun wanna read the whole article: This regarding some of the mundane quests out there (the idea being, if a game has long/tedious quests, it's called a WoW clone) I will say that WoW did perfect these quests for maximum frustration making sure that only one out of five wolves actually had fur, and that one out of eight boars would actually be made of boar meat.
