Battlemage spec isn't really a viable spec at level 30, the gear simply does not exist to do it.

its tough, you could only do it about kalfway really, get crafted melee stat armor (vanguard) and then get int caster jewelry made. and master your offensive stance. keep an eye out for gear that has int and str on it. this will be hard for you because resists will be low. get an imbued ring of intelligence and one of str. and go 8 8 8 in int line. (this would need to be tweaked later on but for now that extra int will be a must) like the previous poster said, its hard to go that route as i believe devout armor is not available if you have good resources some adornments might help you bring your int up Melina Ravensclaw

INT is only a tiny factor in battlemage spec. It's easy to find gear with INT on it. The main issue here will be procs. There is very little proc gear in T3 and most of it is mage only anyway.

Yeah Int really doesnt make much difference till your at 70. Caped Int on a SK adds about 17% damage to all your spells. Its a nice boost when combo'd with proc gear and + spell damage adornments and gear. I went from doing 2k Wraths to 4k+ wraths with buffs and the right gear. Not as noticable on your smaller spells but it does add up if you spec right and have spell haste. If I remember right the formula was something like this.. 420+int you start to get increase in spell damage. For every 29 int over 420 you get 1% more spell damage or about 16-17% at 1070 Pure mage classes like warlocks can get +26%? I think it was from aa's. So getting +17% just from adding more int as a SK isnt ever a bad thing for DPS and Agro from spells
