Hello, I'd like to be able to kill bruisers in T7 reliably (9 out of 10 times).

What class should I select? Not a healer, healers can kill anyone, but only if enemy is willing to stay to die SMILEY

Spell casters don't work, as bruisers have Close Mind and Stone Deaf. Clearly anti-mage class.

Melee classes don't work, as bruisers have deflection. Clearly anti-melee class, most CAs just miss, and they can heal as well, unlike all other melee fighters.

Any ideas?

Two little French words for you.... En Garde Yep that's right the best class to kill a big bad brawling bruiser is a poofy shirt wearing, 98lbs soaking wet, limp wristed, rapier wielding swashbuckler with a bad French accent....well the French accent is optional but it does have a much higher DPS spec than the Spanish or Queen's English accented swashbucklers. Bruisers if any of you disagree tell me a class you dread more than Swashbucklers.  Behold pictures of every bruiser's worst nightmare.

You just perfectly described a swashbuckler in Grey Wolves...

FYI - Puss In Boots was a hired killer who used a ruse to pounce on his prey.  He's clearly a dashing rogue... but clearly a brigand. tbh

Any class can kill a bruiser. It is just a matter of skill. Swashbuckler reach is actually more dangerous then En guard. Coercers with corpse candels can one shot a bruiser with the wrong resists. Manashield if it has a lot of power behind it can be a bruiser's worst nightmare if he can't get in that killing shot fast enough.

Brigand?!  No way, although he was hired and did use a bit of deception to lower his opponent's guard.  But he was being paid a bounty placed on an ogre by the ruler of his land.  Besides, you ever smell an ogre?  More of a mercy killing, in my opinion.

The king didn't ask a citizen in good standings to go kill the GOOD ogre (obviously a betrayed zerker, panzy).  He went to the shady side of town, talked to the evil arisai fairy chick, and hired a killer..

Brigand..

Clearly by viewing the screen shots, one will note that Puss in Boots was obviously a swashbuckler... I mean, let's be serious here-he's not wearing a hamburgler hat with goofy little tassels that dangle down into his eyes-eyes covered by some weird fetish-mask. I kid!  <3 raike!

ITS ALL PART OF HIS DISGUISE!! COME ON! Who would trust a cat running around actually DRESSED UP as the hamburgurler?!?! Anyone wearing their class hat is just GIVING away information!  Brigands are too smart for that.. so he disguised himself!

As a swashy I've learned to beat bruisers pretty reliably.

It was however, a process...I was stun-locked and beaten senseless many times before I got the hang of it.

EnGard levels the field quite a bit....add inspiration and the odds improve significantly.  Add belt of gateways and it's just plain easy.  I've seen reach used amazingly well (find brochollisword's pvp vids), but not by me yet.

I can't speak for the other classes, but if you're looking for a class that can stand toe-to-toe with bruisers, a swash, when played and geared well, will meet your requirement.

Chuck Norris doesn't use a bow.  He can roundhouse kick you from 60m away.

Swashbuckler would be the one to go for. To quote from the threat : "against a 70 swashy who uses en-guarde, insipriation and finess... [Bruisers] will die".

He's a Texas Ranger... goodness people! And of course he uses godlike combat arts, as all rangers do....  SMILEY (Yeah, it was just a joke... inspired by the endless nerf cries against that class. Seems I missed the target a little. SMILEY )

Chuck Norris Texas Ranger isn't a Real Ranger.  Texas rangers are very different from real rangers, just like Rocky Mountain Oysters are very different from real Oysters. Now before you bite me head off at look at the 2 most important things that makes a ranger a real ranger. #1 A bow to go Pew Pew with.  If you recently saw a picture of Chuck Norris with a bow you can comfort yourself in the fact that it wasn't real, it was just a hallucination caused by psychodelic chemicals commonly found on a pink froglok's back.  Chuck Norris doesn't go Pew Pew, or need to when he can just crack a man's head open with his but cheeks. Chuck Norris obviously prefers to use 2 weapons at the same time for ranged attacks of either thrown weapons or submachine guns #2 Green tights  No self respecting ranger would ever be caught out in public without a fresh pair of green tights on and evak up. Fact:  Any ranger caught in public without regulation green tights on is Exiled from Qeynos.  Occasionally an Exiled ranger doesn't wear them, but only when they are on their end stage of the betrayer quest to become a Freeport assassin. Chuck Norris is not able to wear green tights, as they would not be able to support his belt buckle and would tear against his belt buckle when he does high kicks. Fact:  Chuck's belt buckle is Fabled and gives him an extra 30% haste, 25% dps mod, and 10% crit chance.
Most importantly does he sing and dance with his merry men? Tell me Chuck Norris can and will do this Click here to see a video of the 1 thing Chuck can't do
PS he is more of a monk than a bruiser as he is seen more often seen spouting bits of Zen wisdom before cracking heads, rather than pounding obscene amounts of alcohol before randomly cracking someone's head.   If Wisdom>Insane consumption of Alcohol said person is a monk.

ted nugent > chuck norris, because the nuge is a ranger imagine how awesome eq2 rangers would be if we could dual wield a bow and a guitar! edit: also rangers can kill bruisers as long as the ranger is very good and/or the bruiser is very bad,

So what you're saying is all rangers are long haired, zubaz wearing, shirtless screamers with headbands?
