After GU 36 Eagle spin, Crane sweep and Mantis star all start recast timers when you use one. If you cast Crane sweep 1 min recast you have to wait 1 min to use the other 2 skills that are only 30 sec recast if you want to use all 3 in same fight you have to wait in all 2 min.....this to me is the biggest nerf of GU 36...pre GU 36 I'd pull with Mantis star use eagle spin and kidney punch then hit my 3 ae's is that too overpowered? Yeah, huge nerf. Takes away the weapon requirements, means you can use eagle spin with your two hander, or crane sweep with your DW staves, or baton flurry with your fist weapons. Huge nerf, you don't have to wait and lose effectiveness to swap equipment around to use these abilities. Instead they share a re-use timer so button mashers like you can't just sit there hammering away at the keys in order over and over again and gain extra attacks, you have to actually think about which ability would be best.

Put it back the way it was then. With the new macro system (and even the old one to an extent) - everything was working fine. I could use Crane sweep as an extra AE and then reverse one of the mobs a second later and use kidney punch. Now, I can't do that. I'd rather swap weapons which is completely trivial than being locked out of one ability. The lines have nothing to do with each other, they shouldn't share a timer. The weapon requirement just forced you to use a macro to make it seamless. It is a big nerf, or, hopefully, just a bug. agressiv

Actually this was nerfed on all classes not just the Bruiser. It only seems like a bruiser nerf because bruisers are so deparate for every bit of dps that they resort to changing weapons mid battle. It should not go back the way it was. Bruisers need a lot of help in other ways and should never have been resorting to tactics like this.

I can DPS in the top 5 or so raid wide usually…but with this new reuse timer restriction I have dropped a few notches over all. In a perfect world I would like to see the STR line revamped w/out the empty hand restrictions. In my opinion a “master” in the martial arts should always out dps someone that is just swinging a big axe or large sword, also using Dual-Wield or 2 weps should also out dps ppl that only use one wep and a shield. What SOE has done is made this class great to solo with…even grp with (most of the time) but for raids in the “hard-core” light we are taking up a spot of a true DPS’r and when the “raid” is limited to 24 spots brawlers in general don’t contribute as much as we should. Anyways I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking this way….I have talked to many brawlers on my server… and the ultra top raiding guilds don’t even use one on their raids… so I ask SOE to make some changes to make us a more “raid” viable class. ![]() I think the reuse timer issue punish those brawler who unlock 2 or exspecially 3 paths, cause only those have multiple combat arts affected. In that case it is probably a little nerf belonging to those damageprocs crit hits and so on and so far which are specced in in this paths. I just wonna say its a little nerf for those highest dps achievement setups, not for all brawler in general. |

It was the biggest nerf, but it wasn't a big nerf. The stun nerfs, the mez nerf... now those were nerfs.
