Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if there really IS a cap on +heals. A poster responded to one of my threads a week back, saying it was around 140. Now, I wonder then....if it was capped at that low....why would they make a staff with +100? It just doesn't seem right to me...or at least, doesn't seem high enough. Does anyone have solid information on the cap of +healing? If there is a cap at all, that it. Thanks in advance!

Also whether or not the cap on them is across all types of possible heal benefits.

What I mean is the cap on + to equipment with a + to "all healing" or is it to + for any type at all.

For instance lets say someone has been dedicated enough to have both the Staff of Unending Growth and Gloves of the Sacred Grove - they have +140 to all healing. Would that cap prevent Focus: Greater Chloroplast of a fifth Sacred Grove piece from benefitting from the +80 on that heal specifically?

I would hope that if there is a cap it would not limit piece or set bonuses to specific heals - in the above situation the warden should benefit from their efforts with a +220 to Greater Chloroplast.

Since that was my reply that sparked this thread, I tracked down the old (very old, it turns out) post that I was remembering. That post is here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=181423 The rule is supposed to be, for both damage and healing, that the max you can get out of a spell is twice the base.  So if you have a regen that does 3000 across all ticks, it shouldn't cap out until you have +3000 to heals. The problem, which may or may not still exist, is our "direct heal" spells (the ones with the open-palm or praying-hands icons, not the leaf ones).  Warden "direct heals" are split half-direct, half-regen.  There was (and probably still is) a bug where the regen portion of those caps out before the direct version, wasting some +heal effects.  And, it turns out that cap was at +92, not +130 or +140 as I was mis-remembering.

What did you mean by this? It kinda threw me off.

Please go read the linked post.  The +92 cap is explained there in complete detail.  (My memory was that it was great er than 92, in the 130-140 range.)

Ok ....so i can wrap my brain around this .... since the + heal is split in half between upfront and Hot ticks ....

Does this mean the +heal amount cap for the upfront portion of verdant bliss would be about 2000? ....But still wasteing about 900 of the + heal amount on the 10 sec hot tick?
