LU34 + ATI VPU Recover errors, back with a vengance

Since the last LU went live I've been having major issues with graphics hangs and VPU recover messages, this used to happen for a bit but eventually went away and I never thought anything more about it, but LU34 seems to have broken something and it is happening again.

I have a ATI Raedeon Mobility X300 128mb and was running the last Omega drivers, I have rolled back to using the standard drivers supplied with my laptop from Dell (my PC is not compatible with the catalyst 5.2 drivers as suggested in the fixes). I'm getting really irritated with this now and am looking for a solution, and I know I am not the only one as at least 1 other guildee is having these issues.
