![]() Ya it's 48% (previous replyabout non-guild mount max run speeds). I seriously am disappointed and upset about this mount speed. Why are things so hard to get better? We old players stay around this game in hopes that things will get better on the high end. It's not just the run speed of this mount that concerns me, it's the discontent expressed by so many players that gets unaddressed. Is Sony at all concerned with the retention rate? There's a much bigger picture here. The graphic is cool but the run speed is well under par. |

![]() 40%? Could I live with that? I already do not use the carpet because it is annoying and my Mystic kitty can run as fast if not faster (though I would love to re-assign those AA points elewhere...). The image of me riding that thing with an evening gown on is amusing though, but 10pp is not funny at all, especially after what may be a (insert creative language here) of a quest just to get permission to buy the smelly beastie. Have him go at 45% and train him to protect my squishie healer tail and he will be worth the cash. Or, have one available for guilds that is trained, or trainable (via adornments?), perhaps faster, to add another layer of worth to doing the quest and spending the money. Just nerfing the carpet to make the warg more platable is silly, unless the Djinn is thinking of retiring? Does he come with a muzzle for when in town? |

i like the warg... i really do. but if the speed increase stays at 40% i will stick to my carpet. i dont got the money to buy any mounts. i was hoping fpr some speed increase for some low price. well it seems that is not gonna happen. thats ok as long as they dont nerf the carpet. the carpet was the first and only mount i got. i still hopw for some cheap speed increase to help out the not so rich players.

![]() Pfft, as a ranger who upped his runspeed with AA, I get 46% w/o Jboots, 56% w/jboots, sigh, just another mount I can outrun, hehe. As soon as I can save 10pp, if thats what it costs, I'll be looking for more adornments, LOL!

![]() I actually agree with the devs in their decision to hold back upgrading run speeds. If everytime a live update came out they up'ed some cap or upgraded something similar then things could get out of control fast. If they increased the 60 mounts as fast as people wanted when they came out we would have had 60% + runspeed mounts and with this LU people would only want better. I believe it is important to keep such things in check. That being said, this mount being only 40% doesn't make much sense. The carpet questline can be completed in your 40s if I remember right. Lets compare the two LP mount Carpet 40% run speed w/slow backing speed 40% run speed w/o slow backing speed edge - carpet quest line supposedly for lvls 60+ questline can be started in the 40s edge- carpet 10 plat free edge - carpet looks freaking awesome everyone and their mother has one edge - none* *I would give the edge here to the LP mount but anyone that I see running around with this I won't be able to help but laugh at teir stupidity. All the wasting of time and money for a mount that isnt as good as the carpet just for the look makes this an instant joke. It will be an instant stigma for me as to the type of person riding it. Do I want to group with someone that thinks that mount was a good idea? My god their armor is color coordinated too. I guess he/she didnt think the extra stats were worth looking like rainbow. I strongly urge the devs to bump up the mount to be 48%-50% or maybe add some stats to it instead as a compromise. It would be a shame to see a mount that looks so cool be associated with the polar opposite. |

48% and 50% are the fastest mounts in game that require ALOT more effort and coin then the NEW mount. In no way shape or form should this NEW mount be comparable to those mounts. The most this mount should be raised in speed by is 42%. Is 2% worth 10pp and an easy quest? Some will say no, but alot will say yes, because when you get down to it the nightmare and mistrunner cost 5pp more then the 50% run speed mounts yet they run 2% slower. And how many people do you see running around with nightmares still. If you don't want it. Then dont buy it or get into a lvl 60 guild and grind 1million status then spend 10-15pp to get a 48-50% speed mount. Someone needs to list the guild mounts and show these people WHY a 40% runspeed mount is worth 10pp. And stop referring to the FREE Carpet. Which was the BIGGEST MISTAKE soe devs did in dof. Just look at the guild mounts which cost 3pp and status for a 24% runspeed mount. |

I am poor, very poor. I tend to hang around the 2-3pp mark. I have already started saving up for this mount (saving up ain't hard when you put your mind to it). I will do the quest the first moment I can, then will buy it. I couldn't care if you think I look stupid. I'm a ratonga, I wear the nosebag/assassin hat all the time. I ask you if I look cute when I wiggle my nose like this. And now I shall run around on a really big dog. Brilliant!

Just because someone doesn't look like a rainbow dosen't mean they don't have the best gear available to them... it most likely mean the devs looked at the armor sets and said hey.. neon pink wouldn't look right with rust brown and decided on a different color for it (heaven forbid dying in this same I still have nightmares about the neon pink ogers and trolls from EQ1) As for the mount... It looks cool... as for the speed... well it depends on the difficulty of the quest.. yes you could get teh carpet at level 47, however a group of level 47 would not be able to complete (hell when I did it you NEEDED a level 60 tank and others, but that was before KoS) Still won't get one tho... I'm a troub and run faster anyway... don't use my carpet either ![]() |

Guys you can sell your existing mounts back to the horse merchant if you didnt know. 100% of your status is returned and you take a small hit on the purchase price. In case you didnt know....

![]() I for one am HAPPY forthis mount. We FINALLY got something that ISN'T a horse. However... I do agree that 40% seems alittle low. For those who are unguilded or Exiles, it'd be nice for this mount to be 48%. I've played this game since day 1. Have yet to join a guild of nay kind and I'm [Removed for Content] proud. Guilds get tons of stuff, and those cool flaming horses, holy horses, plus house items, armor, titles, and homes that cost some status but less money wise. But when it comes time to look at the casual players who don't have time for a guild, dislike guilds, ot simly are honest people who feel bad joining a guild reaping the benefits of other's hard work(IE: Mounts, Titles, rare items) then leaving or sticking around out of fear and lastly exiles. There isn't much to offer for them. We get 40% mounts in a world where it seems mounts now rate what? 50% or is it 58%? Anyways...I'm happy for the mount, and the price. I was afraid it'd be free and like the carpet would just be EVERYWHERE you turn. I am so sick of those carpets! Now lets see Camels, Rhinos, Boars, and some other fantasy/mythical mounts! |

blah blah blah about run speed. The important thing besides runspeed on mounts is som added stat like resists or def or somn. If it added that and stayed slow i would buy it and do the quest

Can you say WoWaliscious? That is such a rip off from WoW...Is that what SOE is becoming? A company with no imagination that has to steal it's ideas from WoW and other games???Meh, everything in WoW is pretty much a rip off of warhammer and the worg mount in EQ2 looks a lot better than the one from WoW anyway. I'm glad they are adding it, there really does need to be some more variety in the mounts in this game since almost all of them are horses or a variation on horses. I'm glad they are starting to add some different types of things to the game that taken more from fantasy than from the real world; this is a good start. Now they just need to add some cat mounts and maybe some white and black unicorns or something of that sort. |

![]() The 'rip-offs' go back so far the entire topic is idiotic. Tolkien had worgs, for example, and there probably isn't a truly original creature or item in any online game, movie, book, comic that you can't trace back to another movie, book, comic or game, let alone myth or legend or fable.

Maybe it's just the perspective in that screenshot, but I understand why a w[oa]rg would want to be used as a mount. Having a human counterweight on its back is the only thing keeping it from tipping over forwards all the time. Its center of gravity has to be ahead of its front legs... That's wrong -- the designers appear to have compensated as nature would in the real world of evolution. The front paw shoulder quarters are proportioned in a form of which that enables them to bypass their bulk in the front with more power. I think the development was well executed and thought out -- nice to see some solid mount alternatives finally making entrance into the EverQuest II realm. The quality here is bounds beyond the borders of offerings had within alternative titles such as World of Warcraft (although, eye socket regions are one miniscule sect that could have done with the reception of increased attention -- something, I feel, may be addressed in due time [psh, Seliri is on watch, just you see, it'll get done! {lmfao...and BTW...rhinoceros mobility will be pristine, guaranteed}]). - Seliri D. of Nagafen (P.S. Any cliché requisitions done can definitely be seen as a faux pas. The amount of ornate adornments in aestheticism the graphics artists of EverQuest 2 can fabricate is on a level in which competing correlation can be made to appear as though it stood only as a creation of inspirational concept. With enough of a candid level as there can be, I think SOE will be churning out a factor of lengthy longevity for its EverQuest line in relation to the level of formidability it will have within market offerings. Right now, if we could only get some official voice on the "undergoing" skeletal alterations and armor inclusions, I think EverQuest II would be in the prime for taking off in an ebullient rise (collectively coupled with a vibrant, televised advertisement campaign nonetheless). Variation and assortment of visuals is always what grabs consumers of media entertainment, and as EverQuest II grows and expands, I think some worthy procession will be made.) (P.S.#2. Pretty funny attempt made by one of the posters on the first page. Compare for your viewing pleasure. ![]() Good try at gray scaling, no doubt. Would be neat to have an albino warg. The nose also illustrates a lapse of detail and depth had by the original.)
