Is the "new" DFC instance still the same level range? Seems like a waste if it is.

![]() Should be...since you have to go there for two HQ updates... Just because it's not high-end doesn't mean it's a waste |

OMGOMG Conj hats, question though. I have gotten my Set hat from EoF raiding will the look of this hat change, or will I have to take it some where to get it changed. It would be a sad day if it didn't change.

![]() The new macro system looks good, and more quests are always welcomed, however, one big thing that will concern many people is the nerf to poisons, making it so that +spell damage adornments and items no longer add damage to poisons. Kinda odd, how the +spell crit chance affects poisons, but after this change +spell dmg doesn't. Gonna be an upset assassin if that change goes live, not really sure why the change was made.

Seems the majority of servers population would disagree...average level is low to mid 40's...which *gasp* Is just about right for that zone |

Take into consideration that we just had a major expansion that doubled the amount of existing mid-range content. We can go back and forth all day long on this, I simply think it is a waste to "revamp" a zone that few people will actually go into. Though who knows, maybe this is a good thing because even when DFC was a relevant zone, no one went in there unless they were finishing HQ's.Rashaak wrote:They could have revamped it like they did with Nek 3, so lowbie quests could still be done. Come on man, you know as well as I do that at any given time, you can do a /who and find that there are fare more T6 and T7 players on than there are T3, T4, T5. Not to mention the countless posts on these boards about how hard it is for lowbies to find a group. I love new content and revamped zones as much as the next guy, but to me, it seems like a waste to put effort into content so few will actually use. If you won't agree with what everyone knows, I suppose I could do counts of level ranges all weekend long. And BTW, I have 2 alts this content would be appropriate for. And guess what, it is very difficult to find a group because of the low population of people actually playing at those levels.

"Conjurers and Coercer's will be happy to know that their profession hats are on the way! The inclusion of these two profession hats will conclude the project and result in every adventuring class having a profession hat to call their own!" Yay! That means Illusionists get stuck with the pillow case!

Patch Notes Say:
Final Profession Hats Conjurers and Coercer's will be happy to know that their profession hats are on the way! The inclusion of these two profession hats will conclude the project and result in every adventuring class having a profession hat to call their own! Keep an eye on the EQ2 Players website for a sneak peek at these hats, coming soon!Sweet! Now who do I complain to about the fact that: I PAID FOR THIS CONTENT ON 2/23/06 AND IT WILL BE DELIVERED AFTER 3/16/07? How about next time an expansion comes out I just don't buy it until the content is delivered?

DFC change is cool, just because it was a PITA zone to go in with a group, much less an x2 raid. Most people went in when the majority of the content was grey so they didn't get agro'ed through walls. Hopefully that will be gone, and we can go in here and get some nice AA that we missed through mentoring. I've done most non 50+ HQ's except the two in DFC - guess I have a reason to go in there now

These changes sound good. Now with the COERCER and CONJUROR new hats, what will happen after GU33 for someone that has no finished the quest. Upon their completion, will they recieve the new hat or the old one?

Going forward those who complete the quest will only get the new hat designs.

![]() - Macros display reuse timer shading based on the first spell in the macro Sweet! Finally my /say Reviving whoever /useability revive will have a icon that will grey out and work right, and I won't be saying I'm reviving someone when the spell timer is not up.

This goes for all other classes that had their Fabled set hats before their hat was added. I pray they put in some kind of hat swapper guy, would even be nice to get the hat from Gates changed to the new look as well, oh and the one from Labs, that has the Illusionist look to it. I don't see how it could be that hard to create what 4 new skins for these hats and allow players to change them from the old generic look to the new one.Going forward those who complete the quest will only get the new hat designs.Oh no! Please use this thread to provide feedback on the GU33 Preview feature. 1. About DFC - my guildies and I recently ran through.. and I've always thought this zone was fun. I'm curious to see what you've changed, and wondering what the motivations were. That's not meant to imply I'm skeptical, but just to say that I thought it was a great zone as-is. 2. About the Macro system for me it seems like wasted dev time but I saw that many players responding enthusiasticly so kudos. The UI overall is quite good in this game I think. 3. About the new quests in BB.. the one thing I thought was really missing was a "connecting" or "lead in" quest that tugs you over to Steamfont. There was a very clean lead-in from GFay to BB, but in BB it feels as tho the quests just suddenly end. I know we can debate the virtues of open-ended vs. spoon-feeding.. but probably could all agree that one simple lead-in quest connecting the dots is probably a good thing. I felt the overall quantity of quests in BB, which is low by EQ2 standards, was actually about right. One thing that frustrates me about some of the older zones, Antonica and Zek in particular come to mind, is that there are just way too many quests that are totally unrelated and in general it just feels that you are running back and forth way too much. I appreciate that the EoF zones are lot more logical and streamlined. p.s. I am hoping that this will be the update that finally fixes the graphic bug with damage shields. =)
