Most of it is done at the workbench (jeweler table) if you are talking about making adornments.  When you get to 300 transmuter, there are 2 recipies that use the Alchemy table.  You will be using Coal as the fuel as well... If you look at the recipie on the tool tip, it lists the table needed next to the Device... Good luck!

How about an official "how-to" guide? For example when I elected to be a transmuter I bought the enigma spells and whatever else I could. It took me 3 hours to find out that I could only transmute level 1-2 treasured stuff. Second would be the making of adornments. Where? How? Why? Why isnt there a transmuting table or forge? How come some classes that are not transmuters can make adornments?

I personally know the answers but was irritated during the "how-to" process.

Not to mention all the low level gear and adept spells that are purchased and taking away from the retainablility of newbs. They struggle twice as hard as we did cause they have to pey some unreal price for their spell and gear upgrades. It's a poor concept.

How about making rares themselves transmutable? How about harvested goods? Maybe some tome collections? Either way making a tradeskill profession that retracts from a new player experience was a brain fart by the devs in my opinion.

People are rolling toons just to farm the isle of refuge. They dont group with new players. They dont offer advice. They are only there for one reason...... transmuting bait.

Imagine paying 6 gold for a level 3 adept I when you were a newb!

Well those aren't really questions....lol As for the how - to guide...  there were quite a bit moved onto the live forums from Beta.  Not to mention the fact that many people don't want a guide to learn things... As for the low level treasured items...Yes, they are quite pricey now thanks to transmuting.  It is keeping the scholars more busy then they were before which is great for them.  One thing to remember is that low level characters will often get treasured items that they can not wear, so they too can sell their treasured loot and then buy what they need. As for the people on the island, I can not say anything about them.  If they choose to be unhelpful then that is their choice.  Sorry that you seem to have a bad experience with all of this....

DenMum and I have both been working on Transmuting Guides.  Both come with a "still needs work" warning, lol. 'Mum's Transmuting FAQ My Transmuting - a Pocket Guide
