Well, whats going on? Its three days from the end of the month and I'm highly doubting we'll be getting this announcement. What with mixed replies from different GMs and Devs. Some being that nothing has been said, others with information at the end of the month and even word from a developer himself, ingame that they had fixed the transfers yet nothing has been done or even said. I know whats going to happen, we'll get this statement that will say "We've assessed the problem and there will be a decision made in three months time" - Three months from now "The decision is to XXXX in 6months time". This is truely beyond a joke.

What truly is pathetic is there are not even updates monthly. That is the least you can do saying you are still working on it and are getting closer for it's release.

That's because everything is working as intended.  Plus if you have to reroll on another server that's a lot more months of eq you're going to be paying for. SMILEY

Still no update? How longs it take to write a few lines of text giving us a proper statement? Two days left then SOE?

I have to agree. A few lines of text would go a long way. Right now it seems that they're adding a new PVP server with test, but not consolidating any of the other servers. We're going to be even more spread out. On the bright side, a dev did say that a copy command was going to be put in place that allows you to copy your character to test. Sounds to me like a sly way of making sure their copy tool works well right before they start letting the normal server people move. Though honestly I am hoping there is no voluntary "/moveme" command and that we're all put on one server with no ifs ands or buts, with all of our characters and guilds intact. If not, there better at least be a /moveguild command, that a guildleader can use that prompts every guildmember when they log in to accept a move, and if accepted moves the -entire- guild, level status events etc all together with all the characters. I have a small guild that has always had less than 8 active accounts playing in it, and yet we are nearly level 53. It would be a slap in the face if we had to disband and reform just to have the population to pvp with.

I agree that we need a merge now... preferably as soon as possible -  before we lose even more players. It seems most people prefer doing instances and raids because frankly.... there isn't much PvP going on atm. At least not on Venekor. And I guess the situation is even worse on Darathar, Gorenaire and Talendor. As for /movelogs: I used to play on Splitpaw. This is a European server, which came several months after the others. When Splitpaw was opened, they allowed free transfers for everyone who wanted one. This also included alts and guilds. So yes, they can transfer your entire guild.

here is your poppulace.

i think venekor is plenty poppulated, and that the majority of the players on pvp servers simply disappear into instances most of the time.

edit> totally expectable when you create such a stark path of least resistance.

omg ya even more spread out this is bogus and you gotta be kiddingyourself if u think its plenty maybe in prime time for 1 hour, then rest of server is barren, and usually in primetime everybody logs on to do their instancs

Sooo  SoE  what will it be this time ? another 10 months of letting your PAYING customers stand in the rain .... ?

You do know dear SoE that most of us here who actually do bother post on this Forum LOVE your game you created and would be willingly pay much much longer for our subscriptions IF we actually would be ALLOWED to play our toons we worked on for OVER a year now in an actual MMORPG game ? As it stands atm on Darathar the population on peak times on both factions (excl. Exiles) do not number over 150 players ? are you aware of this fact ?   yes .. good ..  now what is the [Removed for Content] holdup this time ? is the effort it takes to actually merge ALL pvp serves into one not worth the money it might bring .... ?  Is it our legal departement that holds you back because you would loose the ability to delivery the german and french player base a server in their language like you promised them ... ?  or are you just too stuck up and after the big bucks that you do not give a flying poopers for your tiny tiny part of playerbase that actually would love to PvP in EQ2 ?

And for the poopheads who still think those so called transfers / movelogs (if and when they every be allowed) should be done with naked toons .... ; stuck your fears where the sun never shines, and think about what u ask from those players; you want them to be punished for SoE's lack of foresight and logic, what can the playerbase if SoE is too optimistic, well lets call it "deranged" enough to think their PvP server politics is sound. (or was sound a bit over a year ago ....)

We know it can not be a techincal issue ... it has been done before whitout your knowing ....  granted there where some MINOR issues (duplication of inv. cells) but hey c'mon im sure if you actually let one of your dev.s look into the issue it would be fixed in under 8 man hours ...

This SoE is the last straw i at least toss towards your customer support altough i do know from past experiences (SWG) that your customer relations departement does NOT exist .. or is soo poorly staffed that you have to proof us in almoste every issue that your communication skill's lack does scream to heaven ....

SoE:  NOW it's time to take action and give the playerbase ONCE what it wants ....  ==>  being able to actually PLAY a MMORPG PvP EQ2.... !!

 kkthx bye

CHeers!

Hi fokes. Support to this thread - added! Wanted to add as well to this thread to have one more piece of player telling, You SOE, how IMPORTANT this matter is atm! We need these Euro PvP servers resolved. The population u give us is just [I cannot control my vocabulary] - worth [I cannot control my vocabulary].... etc .. [I cannot control my vocabulary]! I don't how to express my self anymore on this issue tbh .. U surely are careless about your paying customers SMILEY French admin said we would have news (make these good plz!!!) at the end of feburary, so your deadline is tomorrow. I wanted to add this little screeny, cos I think it's [I cannot control my vocabulary] suiting for this whole messed up situation... My guild is a PvP guild really. We made toons on a PvP server to be PvP'ing - something we're hardly able to do atm. We want to play on a server with people and a server where's it's possible to find PvP without the use of spys (etc) and even without tracking would be nice!! My guild is originaly a Splitpaw guild which was destroyed due to launch of PvP servers. Our PvP guild dinged 1 year some days ago and personaly I have been playing at Darathar for about 11 months. In my opinion, the past 6+ months it has been VERY boring looking for PvP at this wasteland server!

- Eeling, Leader of HoX - Darathar.

(Might post again tomorrow if no updates.)

it's time to give us official news, now.

We're one of the few T7 guilds left on gorenaire. We have a lot of fun with raids, but if we are on a pvp server it's because WE WANT TO PVP.

I really hope (if and when something happens on the issue) that are toons arent just moved to another server. I have filled my char slots on Darathar (EU) and filled my char slots on Nagafen (US). Unless I am going to be able to choose from any of these toons at character select(which I seriously doubt), then being able to pick and choose who to delete and who to move would be best for me.

That's crazy that peak population reaches 150. I think it'd all be good if everyone was a Nagafenian =. There are sometimes even downtimes for PvP on Nagafen! SMILEY However, don't expect anything til tomorrow -- they're holding out til then cause it's when they're gonna release the big bang. If you are levels 21-32 and want to fight me, I want to fight you even if you don't want to fight me, so please move to the PvP test server when it comes out and I'll be lurking. :]

That is pretty funny. On a more serious note, I hope the movelogs will be available by Game Update 33 or sooner.
