So I'm curious is the following mobs have a loot table....  or if they are designed to be Un-Killable.

The Gambler
The Tree of Woe
Lord Nagafen ................................(No brainer right there eh?)

Anyone know?   *Hint Hint Moorgard!*

By Gambler he means the Epic Nightblood in Halls of Seeing, ( Ozgot the Avenger (sp?) ) we call it the Gambler though because of the ward on the wall used to spawn it.

I'd assume that Nagafen was designed to be unkillable hence the level 100, the Gambler and tree were just poorly designed if meant to be defeated by level 70's.

I don't know about "The Gambler" if he is killable or not.  Ever since someone told me that they spawn him as the guild is leaving the zone I have found a new found love for that zone because of that.   Some reason though someone always beats me to spawning him because everyone thinks it's funny besides the person flipping the repair costs I guess. lol  Seriously though I really do not think he is killable with that ae and stuff I just don't see him being able to be killed.

I think on a side note they did add a loot table to Naggy because someone claimed to have killed him back in T5 or T6 or something like that.   There was a discussion about this on our server forums not to long ago and after all of this copy and pasting of stuff the final outcome was that naggy did in fact have a loot table for the most brave adventures.  Probably some two handed sword with ft 30 but at least it does or did have some type of loot table.

I don't think anyone killed Naggy but I've heard the rumors.  However I do remember a dev post long ago about how they added a loot table to Naggy.  So there could very well be a level 100 item in the game.  I am sure we might see it when Naggy cons green to us.

you can assume that any mob that hasnt been killed in this game yet has a loot table just FILLED with 2h weapons with FT on them...
and like ONE really good item, that will never drop
ever...
but it will be there to give us all reason to gear up our alts with 2h fabled weapons!

Nagafen has a loot table.. it was in the update notes that they added it. It was a special project so I'd be really curious to see what's in there SMILEY

I shoudl make a website dediacted to "Project: Nagafen" and it coudl be a site all about killing Nagafen... peopel can compare notes, share strats... see who got him below 99%.....    And count down the days until the lvl cap is raised to 100 and it woudl be remotly possible for someone to actually do it.

it was possible in tier5 before changes, any melee attack on a level 100 mob is a 1-hit-kill riposte. Spells can land occasionally though (because skills are meaningless, remember?), so its possible to damage it.ive killed those level 100 guards, but nagafen is epic so its not snareable. assuming its not rooted like old-vox, id say its unbeatable SMILEY. but never say never i guess :p

not too hard to do damage to a level 100, just like nagafen, you can do damage to him, its just a matter of how fast he eats your face off

just with the guards you can snare / attempt to root

they are red tho so you got a good chance of dying due to a resist hehe

Yeah pretty sure they added a loot table to Naggy way back when....when I was on Mistmoore, Ardent Legion I believe tried him down before they added in his special attacks.  After said attacks were added nobody else tried...Though I did see a video of someone soloing naggy.....but it was in eq1 SMILEY

He was a de-leveled monk (to lvl 52) with a crap load of buffs, AAs he couldnt have at 52,  and potions.  There is some controversy about whether he was actually being healed/buffed by others standing outside the room

I've seen the video. The cameraman was a shaman. Its unclear if he's being healed or not, but he claims he was using only his buffs and only heal potions to accomplish it. And yes, he deleveled to 52, so he had a huge advantage. Didn't they have a change that you could still use spells from higher levels if you died and lost your level? I forget.

Nagafen has a loot table because FoH tried for a few hours in T5 to kill him and the devs got a chuckle out of it, causing Gallanite to not only itemize him but post that he was itemized in the update notes.

The "Gambler" has a loot table but it isn't unique, from what I've heard.  That mob is designed as a joke moreso than as something that is intended to be killed.  Kind of a "whoops you pressed the wrong button" type of mob.

As for the Tree of Woe, dunno.

Malkonis D`Morte at least had a unique loot table.  I don't believe anyone killed him before KoS though...

Well I would say that Naggy is unkillable (at this time),  but he definately has a loot table.   Back in T5 there was an update that mentioned giving Naggy  loot (was around the time WoF went in if you want to look for it).

im fairly confident its obvious that he drops some now outdated pos tier 5 loot.

theres also a chance it drops tier 10 loot with FT3.

Naggy is unkillable, because he is lvl100x4, and they patched his lair to not allow more than 1 grp to zone in.  If you are in a raid, you will get a message saying there are too many people, blah blah blah.  So even if there was a chance in hell that a raid of 70s could take him down, you cant even zone a raid in anymore.

Couldn't you just zone one person in at a time and form a raid that way?

Its an instanced zone, so im assuming no.  When you get 6 people in there, if 1 was to drop group and invite another person, the last person to zone in would get a 15second timer, that ends in being kicked from the zone.
