It's exactly what's it's description says...it's Nek Castle revisited.
It was designed for people who reached the max level at that time (50) and designed to be very challenging at level 50
Too be honest if you wanna do it at 50 it will still be challenging, not in the lesat because they gave some trash mobs an insane amount of Hitpoints, near raid like.
The scripts are still fun and if you love lore it's definately worth to go check it out.

On the other hand, the loot was always very poor and the pathing of the mobs is HORRIBLE, with lots of adds etc...

LOL at 50 you can not solo in that zone at all... You should be able to take a few of the names in the main courtyard (if he pops, blacksmith guy) however the golems have INSANE HP 2 lvl 70 paladins on a GREY golem almost had to leave the zone and one died twice. Other mobs seem to have a normal hit point range however those golems are not going to be soloable by 1 person in any way shape or form I dont care which class you are, they are aggro and social and there is no room to kite it - even if you had room to kite it it only might be doable if you dont mind kiting for 35mins....

Yeah... That zone was intended for a full group of level 50s. You'll have quite bit of trouble solo/duoing it. If you could manage any of it at all.

Oh. One question, do the trash mobs in the zone repop?

Not to mention that Everling is a level 54-56 x2 mob.. (Can't remember which level exactly, but he was orange at 50 when we did it then).

It was a very challenging and fun zone, even for a full group at the level intended. but I agree with the above posters who said the loot was crap.

He's not really an x2 mob, but it was just an x2 encounter. It should be labelled Heroic now with the changes around LU17 or so.

ah, yeah, that change hehe :smileyvery-happy:

did they think it through entirely? There's some encounters in x4 raid zones that DEFINATELY couldn't be taken by one group, or maybe even two, that are listed as heroic, simply because they contain no true epics.

Well.. if you're lucky, there can be 2-4 named up that are "rare" (not always in zone). After that, there is the Fire Witch thingy, the Spider, the Sisters, and Everling that are ALWAYS up (I may have missed another, it's been a while).. but as others have stated, the loot in the zone isn't really that great at the level intended.

As for the X2 thing.. I seem to recall that we did this zone once at level 60 with 3 people (Guard, Assassin, Defiler) which was after the Heroic/Epic update, and Everling was definately still listed as an X2.. he was Blue to us at 60.. we still owned him, but it was a very long and challenging fight..

If you're attempting this zone at 50, some suggestions would be Group inviz, and a Chanter REALLY helps on some of the named as they have lots of little adds.
