Change to Relic Drops...

We noticed the last few days that the drop rate in Lab for relic seems to have almost gone back to the old way it was pre-Lyceum nerf days.

Also, in quite a lot of hours farming, we have not seen a wooden chest with Advanced XXXXXXX Volume XX in it.

Anyone else confirm this?

Is it possible they removed those [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] craft books and upped the relic rate or is this just another luck factor?

I never said it was not random. That was not the point of my post. Of course relic drops are random.

I was asking if others have noticed an increase in the random factor over the last few days, and the total removal of crafting books in wooden chests.

Seems to me that if they did something to crafting book/wooden chests, they could easily have tweaked drop rates.

Have seen both relic drops and advanced crafting books drop in the past few days, so no I don't think they changed anything.

Funny how there's a new topic like this on the forums just about everyday.

some people fail to grasp the concept of what "Random" means, so when they get random bad luck, they post about it, and when they get random good luck, they post about it.

I've seen as many as 6 drop in 1 night, along with 11 or 12 master chests. Then there have been some nights where I've seen no relic what so ever, and only about 5 master chests. Like everyone says, it's totally random. But for the sake of some of my guildies, FOR GOD SAKES DROP MORE LEATHER RELIC FOR THESE POOR BASTAGES!!!!

Silk shoulders for us..... we've started parking mage alts at raid zone just in case we can be bothered running one in.

You know I am begining to wonder. Of our last 10 pieces of relic gear now, 8 have been the plate barbute. In each of our past 3 lab runs we have seen at LEAST 1 relic plate barbute, more than one happening twice. In comparison during those runs we only saw 2 other relic pieces asside from the plate barbute, both happening to be silk slippers.

Deathtoll last night, plate barbute. Lyceum the other night, plate barbute. This is after we already have seen enough plate barbutes to waste two, get every figher/cleric one, and outfit every plate alt in guild with one.

I do not doubt that it is random, but Im begining to think there is something wrong with the chance of that number turning up on plate barbute.

Last week in DT we had 2 leather BP's drop, in the last week I've seen 3 relic plate legs, and I lost count on the chain coifs but its at least 3.

Last night in DT we got our new 2 mage recruits a bunch of relic. Oh yes we also got 1 plate barbute, 1 chain bracer and 0 leather as usual. We did get 2 non-relic leather drops but they were brawler items and we had no brawler in the raid (at least 1 of them was usable by a scout so not a total loss). :p

I missed our labs raid the other day (xmen!) and my leather gloves dropped. SMILEY

we've only ever gotten a single plate helm. i think we've gotten 6 pairs of relic silk pants. we've never never had nemesis gloves drop and the bracers have dropped once yet we've seen enough nightchord/animist and the inquistor/sk stuff that it rots now. funny thing is looking around at other scouts on the server seems that nemesis is as common as dirt. random does seem random to me. the only thing that's held true for us is that relic never drops in halls of seeing.

In our 3 last halls: 1 relic.

In our 2 last deathtoll: 5 relic.

I can't be agree more with the op. Relic drop rate seems to be nerfed, and this has nothing to do with the random question.
