Anything you have on bugs or feedback about guilds and raids.

I would also like to hear about what makes you join a guild/raid or not.

Thanks in advance

Raids and the reasons for them :

1) Loot --  the Fabled Gear (which is few and far between for us )
2) Status  - the guild status gains you get from defeating the mobs
3) Quest  -  Certain quests require raids to progress the quests.
4) Content -  because its there

Guilds  and the reasons for them :

1) comraderie - to be able to talk to others and hang out with people
2) Access to items  - Vendor items avaible to Guilds at each level
3) Access to content - new raids / zones available at different level

Will edit this response as more things apply

Reason I go on raids is mainly for the fun of it with friends and to see new content. I also like fabled loot, anything which lets me take on stronger mobs than I couldn't previously for the challenge. The change you made to Warlocks, having both disease and poison damage, was a great change for warlocks and raiding. We should be able to hit more mobs now. Even our group mana siphon and return was poison based and wouldn't work on poison resistant mobs.

For me personally...Guilds - I join a guild to be with people and socialize. To have a support group of friends to adventure with. A huge part of the fun of these games, to me, is getting together with a bunch of friends and doing a dungeon crawl or three. Guilds make that easier.Raids - To me, what makes a raid fun is somethign HARD and CHALLENGING. Not just stupidly difficult, but something that is a challenge and requires smart thinking and good playing. And that doesn't mean CH chains :p The loot is great but for me its more about taking a bunch of friends and having a truly epic fight. The kind stories are written about.

My reason for joining a guild hasn't changed since EQ.  I join mainly to socialize.  Occasionally to "network", get help with quests, geear, etc.... I join raids for two reasons.  1)  Complete quests.  2)  I am asked at a particular time I have no other plans.

More guild bank space.  The rows and basic number of columns is great.  Rows added for each 5 guild levels all the way up. Add more columns after the 10 per row tied to the special guild raid completion or some other overall guild event.  Guild events where an even wider range of levels could be accomidated, like the current tower event.  Be able to have craftmen and adventurers together more.  Could tie more banks to some other type event.  How about a special guild only broker or banker?

Be able to sort not only on the class, but also tradeskill class and level.

For the individual, be able to select better what get announced or not.  guild announcement of the person online once the person is fully in the game , not the beginning of the log into the zone as it is currently.

A party or conference hall for a guild to use for a limited period of time.  Or even areana for demonstration of skills etc.

We also tried Venekar, green dragon, in CT. He slaughtered us in 15 seconds or so. From what I hear he is still way to hard, even on live servers, for low 50 players. Only the top most guilds can kill him and of course they are all 60s.Venekar and the Watcher (in CT, Saving Souls instance) both need some major adjusting of their AOE.

Join guilds for social interaction for the most part and for the perks that guild can aquire as it levels. I am a tradeskill junky on live server only have a couple of tradeskillers on test. My characters on test tradeskill levels correspond to their adventure level. Being in a guild allows me to be stuck in the basement tradeskilling and still have conversations. This reason being on test I have a tendancy to delete characters and create new ones to check out things on the low end.

other reason for forming a guild other than social is for quest help, either information or group assistance when needed. I solo quite frequently and take pride in the fact that i can solo most characters (my hats off to those wizzies/warlocks that made it past sorcerer , i stink )

I am not a raider, i am a soloer and group oriented person. Being in a group does not lead to social interaction in game.  As when you are in a group its hurry up go go go get this cranked out on to the next must get mob / exp / quest killed / finished/ updated. On to the next no time to talk I'm late I'm late for a very important date.

Most of the reasons mentioned before are why i have joined a guild or raids.  There are some improvements tot he guild bank i would like to see

In a normal players bank when you view the contents you can readily identify what items you can or cannot use by the "Glow" surrounding it.  I.E. Chain Armor has a reddish tint to it for a caster type.

Perhaps putting that in the guild bank.  This way when i view my level 20 guild bank and all the slots are full of spells, crafting supplies, armor, and various other things it would be nice to be able to quicky identify if i can use an item or not just by it's "glow"

This makes for lest time highlighting each item in the bank just to check and see if i can use it

Reasons why I join a raid: Usually if one happening at a time I CAN join a raid that's reason for enough for me SMILEY (not easy being in Euro timezone on test for raiding) But seriously. True reasons for me are the fun an accomplishment with a team effort of something major. Another reason is that chance of some really nice coming along in the lootables (still hoping for a master necro-pet spell, but not holding my breath SMILEY )

How difficult would it be to set up a way to 'earmark' something in the guild bank for a particular member so that nobody else could withdraw the item except the person it was earmarked for?

The guild bank is a very nice addition (guild housing would be even nicer)  SMILEY

It is relatively easy to level a guild to 20 with 6 people.  With it you could have a decent guild bank too.  So the benefit of having a large guild, with all the community channels available is minimal. As for guild content available to a guild that is higher level? Well I added a player to our guild just so he could purchase a 3 room house, he was able to then leave our guild and go back to his small guild with his house.  So, to access higher level guild content, you just need someone who is willing to open their ranks to you for a few minutes. The value therefore, of leveling guilds is dimished. ~Eva
