I strongly object to the way the tradeskill revamp has removed all food or drink recipes that contained chocolate. It's not real fantasy food if it doesn't have some chocolate.

Do it for Niami Denmother, if for no other reason.

I can stand a lot of changes, nerfing, uping, removing, renaming, and many other MMo related duties.But...Removing chocolate...This, and this only, is the nerf I'll never accept. :/

How dare they deprive out toons of one of the basic food groups. We may have to find us a rope and tree if we don't get us some chocolate back. :smileyhappy:

I'm not a real big chocolate fan in real life, probably because I'm a guy. But I can't beleive the removed it from the game!10-1 odds a male programmer did that without ever thinking of the outcry that would arize from the female contingent of EQ2 players. SMILEY

Actual account of me on the day of TU24It all happened so fast...One second, I was at the stove, making the chocolate brownie recipe that my mother taught me when all the sudden everything went black. When I came to, I started frantically searching all around for what I assumed would be ruined brownies, but alas, I saw only flour and  eggs.  I searched everywhere for chocolate, even going to the sales clerk in Wayfarer's Stocpilers, begging for the components I needed for my special treat.I frantically seached his shelves, where I can distinctly remember there being chocolate bars, only to find nothing. He informed me that through some action unseen force (I know that only Bristlebane himself could have come up with such a devious plot) that it seemed that all chocolate everywhere in Norrath had disappeared. In my fit of grief, I threw together a most horrid drink to help me get rid of my sorrow/frustration.  Everything I had went in, roots, fish, even loams from the very rocks themselves.  You know... it wasn't half bad... I may have to start selling them...Either way, the Queen will NOT be happy that her brownies will not be delivered on schedule.

Flattered as I am by the folks taking my name in vain, I don't need something more named after me.  SMILEY

I know from a coding point of view it was just one of the many things removed when he streamlined provisioning, but the reaction on the test channel when we realized it was enlightening.  I felt bad for Joren's RL wife when she heard the news.  Not the sort of shock you want to give a pregnant woman!

From an rp perspective, I've two pet theories.  Either this is some evil plan of the Overlord, or it is some gnomish experiment gone horribly awry.  Hopefully some day we will see the return of chocolate to the lands once again.

Meanwhile, no, you won't lose any pre-made chocolate goodies that you have stored away.

don't be all hate'in on the gnomes...  we blow ourselves and other up.  we have no desire to rid the world of chocolate.  i'd look to the dark elves for this little bit of mischief.
