Iksar's sure do, Kerra and Ratonga have had extra skins since launch, and they have shown multiple skins in different screenshots in and out of time.
Go to an Iksar on Eq2players who hasnt paid for the players addition, it shows a zebra striped Iksar as a placeholder image.
If you buy a painting in EQ2 and put it in your home, it shows a female iksar with what seems to be a form of our old scale patterns from EQ1.  (but it is an EQ2 screen)

Please give us our scale patterns when 16 goes live, please?

I have got to say that pigs are finally flying, and the little pink elephant has been seen roaming the forums.

If you dont understand the pun... its a joke because all i've been wanting to hear is some confirmation from the art directors on what is being worked on, and here it is.

Lotus:

You have definitely bumped yourself up a notch in my book by taking notice.

Oh my god.  When I saw this post I start giggling and nearly had a heart attack at the same time.
This makes me so happy to see a dev respond in such a way, I love my iksar's so much, and finally, we get new scale patterns? FINALLY?

To be clear, newly created iksar will be able to choose from the additional scale patterns. Existing iksar will have to remain in their current skins until we introduce the ability to change your character customizations.

Isn it suposed to be live at the same time as SOGA and scales pattern? I think its strange that we will not be able to modify our look in SOGA.

Well the thing is that there is currently no implementaion of being able to modify existing charecters, they will probably have to make an Edit Char button in the char select window or something similar, and I am sure it will come soon arter LU16 if it's not ready by then, but for me the most important thing is that they finish the designs and make them aviable, and when that is done make a tool that allows us to edit existing chars.Cheers.Fetidbeard, Runnyeye.

Beside of this players that r xpecting a race change they can keep dreaming that this  MAY be implemented with the character customization? or we can forget it?

i ask that because i may play one character or another becuase i will love SOGA changes, but atm i dunno what to do ( the differences btw levels is to high so its difficult to choose :smileysurprisedSMILEY

yea I was stoked to hear about SOGA,  and I understand that letting us change races would be a pita. But I understand the request I have been waiting and waiting for this ever since I found out about them, but at the same time, its easier for me to start over at 19, yet I wont most likely, I love my Predator and have invested way to much money so an option like this would rule, although I know it most likely isnt going to happen just because of the issues that could arise.

yep i know it would be great ehehe  , for hardcore players start over again its easy but when u dont have lot of time to spend playing then u must try to find other ways. At least who love theyr profession but with SOGA they love too other race. Anyways it could be cool to know if we can keep dreaming or just start over again SMILEY

Who promised that? All I've seen is that they will give us the ability, not what LU its going in.

Anyone else see a huge DL time when this finally goes live?  Thought I do have to admite I want my iksar to have some sweet scales since he'll be an assassin.  Love it if iksar's got a special ability so they could blend in to the background like scouts sneak ability but for any class of iksar.

There won't (or shouldn't) be any DL time for the "new" iksar skins, unless they're adding more than two they've been in the .vpk files since launch.

You mean our racial trait Defensive Coloration?  That lets us sneak around.  (If the response to this is "Only while standing still!"   Why dont you go try it out?)

Moorgard said time and time again that the ability to change your looks will go in at the same time as SOGA models.  Which should be THIS LU.

*Sigh* You know I refused to let myself become excited over the new Lotus released on the coming of new Iksar scale patterns and now it was justified. Hopes and dreams dashed just a quick as they where elated. Considering you said that the ability to edit characters would be most likely coming with the SOGA models and now you say it isn't. Should we be expecting this sometime Summer 06 now? I don't know whats worse there being now new patterns as promised in Beta or that now I get to see new characters running around in them while I'm stuck in plain jane yellow belly skin, mighty hard slap in the face there.

This annoys me so much I actually looked up where you Moorgard said that Iksar scale patterns would be added when the option to change your existing character was implemented.

And where you stated that the interface to change hair and appearance would be coming with the addition of the two Iksar scale patterns that there was a 'code issue' (from the first post quote [obviously wasn't a high priority issue to fix in beta and the first year of the game then]) that prevented them from being released at launch. And that there was talk to releasing these both when the SOGA model where released.
