So, the expansion is coming out soon.  We are getting a 10 level cap increase.  Will the current contested raid mobs be teired up to reflect this change?  (Not all but most)

I'm just curious if this will be the case.  If this is not the case then how many contested mobs are being or will be, or can be expect to be implemented into the new expansion with Tier 6.  I do not see you adding almost 15 new contested mobs quickly into Live.

Just curious as to what others think and what the possiblities are.

I'm pretty sure they will add t6 contested mobs and leave the t5 contested the same level. there are still guilds that cant defeat the t5 .. and the guilds that can kill the t5 now wont even bother with them anymore cause the loot they can get from the t6 raid zones would be better.

really dout they would keep the lower lvl's around spince most t5 raid mobs are lvl 56 or 57 or 58... dont remember which but if they did there would be a flood of fabled items into the game which would kinda make things.... fugly to an extent

IMO

It would be [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to take them out. You are going to have guilds that need them to equip up for the harder raids and the T6 contesteds. Doing anything to make it more difficult for up and coming guilds is just going to create a wider gulf, unless of course you are attempting to alienate a segment of the players.

There are T2 (Ladon and Anguis), T3 (Coldtooth and Ageleides), T4 (Nkzak and ???), and T5 (Ziggalg, Vox, Knubed, Alangria, Asphyxia, Kra`thuk, Fist, Hand, Vaz`gok, Zatan, Nagalik, Venekor, and probably others I've forgotten) contested raid mobs. This indicates to me that they plan on having contested mobs in every level range, regardless of what the max level is at any given time. While it is true that there are currently far more in the T5 range then any of the lower ranges, this merely reflects the reality that most people do not start raiding often until they are at least 40+, and the vast majority of raiders that make it to a contested mob before it's killed are 50. I suspect they will introduce T6 contested mobs slowly, perhaps only putting in a couple at launch, and adding one here and there. This is my theory, assuming they add at least 3 instanced raids as well (otherwise, what are we supposed to do while we wait?).

I have been wondering about this myself.  I also wonder what they plan to do with the instanced raid zones (current T5 ones that is).  If they leave the content as is, most of these mobs will be killed with 1 group or less regularly im sure, and the market will be flooded with t5 fabled items.. but will anyone really care?  I suspect t5 fabled will still be better than t6 normal crafted, but t6 rare crafted should surpass t5 fabled (minus effects..)

As for up and coming guilds getting shots at the t5 contested (assuming they leave them as is), I highly doubt that will happen.  The hardcore players will just farm these mobs with 1-2 groups (or less if that's all they need) in their free time, so they can make cash.
