![]() I posted this is the tester only forum, but noone seems to go there anymore... Sorcerer changes: - The following spells or combat arts no longer expire and had their reuse timer removed: - Eye of Zomm This is a copy and paste from Test Update 6 notes.
The spell named Eye of Zomm is not in game, and hasn't been since release as far as I can tell. The prima guide describes this spell as summoning a disembodied eye to scout for the sorcerer. This would be an awesome spell, and truly gives the sorcerer something special besides just higher damage numbers... I'm curious why this spell was suddenly put in the patch notes... Do you plan on re-adding it? Did you put it there jsut to slap sorcerers in the face? Or is someone in the SOE office hitting the wacky tabacky while writing update notes?

![]() It was never a spell back when I was a sorcerer in November. A scouting eye spell, sounds impressively usefull assuming it dosnt cause aggro I want it! |

Well all the spell lists say it is a lvl 13 spell (i think, low teens anyways). Now I haven't been there in eq2 yet, but I'm pretty sure Eye of Zomm is an evil eye near Runnyeye in EQOA... Pretty sure the mob isnt linked to the spell hehehe

![]() Eye of Zomm was a very useful spell from Eq1. My main was a Wizard in EQ1 and it helped my group scout ahead to see if there was any aggro or if there was a named. In EQ1 the eye was non-aggro.

![]() Eye of Zomm in EQL actually did gain aggro until it was changed sometime in 2001 or 2002. I remember this vividly because I used an eye for the first time assuming it was actually supposed to be useful as a scouting tool and sent it into the minotaur caves in Steamfont in 2001 when i was a newbie wizard. It was an impressive train of minotaurs that came boiling out, i tell you what. Predictably, people used this seeming-drawback as a strength and used to pull Raid mobs with the eye at little to no risk to the raid. Sony realized this unintended side-effect and nerfed it. Eye of Zomm and its successor Eye of Tallon thus became the non-aggro scouting tools we knew and loved. |

![]() Actually, with the original eye of Zomm in EQL, you could actually pull with your eye since it did create agro. I liked it much better though when they made it neutral.

Yep! The great Magician had this spell as well. Came in handy many a time! We also had the class quest from ..um...that temple of sol ro?.. in LS.. that rewarded us with the bracelet with endless summons of floating eyeballs! :smileyvery-happy: |

![]() Actually someone mentioned an evil eye in Runnyeye named Zomm..........I seem to remember there being some kinda strange none aggro named eye floating about deep inside laughing at you when you spoke saying it could kill you in an instant. I can't remember if it was called Zomm but it was definately an evil eye.......been a while since I went in there I might go back and see what happens.
