What I read on a dailiy basis in this forums  from a LOT of different posters:

- adventureres cant afford drink
- crafters cant afford drink rares on the broker
- harvesters get rich on rares
- harvesting makes no sense
- crafters are rich
- tradeskilling is a moneysink
- adventurers are rich
- adventurers cant even afford to upgrade gear to white
- the game is to hard
- the game is to easy
- soloing XP sucks
- group XP sucks
- vitality makes people lvl to fast
- solo loot sucks
- group loot sucks
- loot puts crafters out of business
- too many players are poor
- too many players are rich
- (i wont add the class balance issues here as I dont want to make it the longest post in forum history)

So what does this tell me?

Regarding the opposing points of view I can find here only a max of 50% of the posters can be right -  the other 50% must be complete whiners. So please shut up (you know quite well if you're meant).

The other posibility is that EQ2 sucks completely. In that case do yourself a favour, buy WoW and leave me alone here on the forum and on the server I play (which would do me a favour too)

What that has to do with the Feedback forum? See it as a kind of feedback from one player who reads all the whiner-posts here to the whiners themselfes :smileyhappy:

I dont want the whiners to be nerfed in my favor  - I just want them all to have rather unpleasant accidents.

quote or URL please :smileytongue:
you're gonna have a hard time finding a maximum of 5 post where I actually complain about something gameplay-related  - 5 posts would be about a whopping 0,1% though :smileyvery-happy:

PS: theres a reason for this thread beyond the rating contest (which will be interesting to watch since for once is this a post about the community and NOT the 350k player base. so the rating will be a verdict I am ready to accept) - it will become most usefull to me and save TONS of time SMILEY

I actually enjoy a good debate over some of the issues that pop up in the forums...

The things I can not stand is the people that post in a discussion to

1. Tell everyone to shut up and quit whining

2. Make up numbers and % to try to back up their opinion

3. Call thier opinions "facts"

4. Be outright insulting

5. Point out small spelling or grammer mistakes

oh... and people that get mad because you disagree with them... like having a different opinion is some kind of derogitory comment about you as a person

I have seen the OP throw down some good discussion in a few places, can't comment on the "whining" posts another poster claimed he did.

A post whining about whiners.... nice move, but this means that you yourself should take your own advice?

Anyway, it's far too easy and cowardly to class anyone with an opposing view to yourself as a 'whiner' (which I guess is exactly what I just did myself :smileytongue: ).

Your obviously a fanboi, and thus far too blind to realise that people that complain about things are providing feedback, and without feedback (of any type - constructive or not) the Devs cannot judge how well their product is doing in the field.

I agree that constructive feedback is best, but sometimes a good heartfelt flame/whine is just as good, as it holds emotion, and this is what these games create in people... emotion.

I offer your own advice to yourself, if you cant cope with people whining, then I suggest you get out of MMOGs, as people will always feedback (aka whine).

EQ2 is not perfect, and no online game ever will be, but right now it does has some major issues.

Graphically and Adventure wise the game is superb and I love it to pieces, but Crafting and Economy wise the game is totally screwed.

you obviously did not read my post. if you take a closer look at it you MIGHT notice that I collected opposing opinions from all over the board.

p.e.
- solo loot sucks
- group loot sucks
- loot puts crafters out of business

I never have or will support any of these views, I just pointed out that its impossible that these 3 opinions can ALL be right (I even included some advice for any who thinks they are)

So since I didnt post any of my views (except from that there are to many whiners on this board) how can you speculate what are the opposing ones?

It will be funny seeing you struggle with this and I predict that it'll end with a *far-nerfed* post of your side in which you declare that your time is to precious bla bla and I dont get it bla bla.

I am looking forward to it :smileyvery-happy:

crafting is definitely better as in EQ1 where cultural ts imbalanced it very strong. I admit thouh crafting is not as much fun as i thought (I could swear i did read about HOs in crafting a LONG time ago) but still usefull enough and a good alternative for hours I can't commit myself 100% to playing

I'm not struggling as my post had nothing to do with your collection of opposing views.

My post was aimed at you whining about whiners and telling them to go away, becuase it was contradictory and they are here to stay. I also pointed out that in doing so I had fallen into the same trap as yourself :smileytongue:

People will always have opposing views from one another, as is evident here :smileyhappy:

Sorry, but it is fact and an opinion held by very many .... try go reading the Crafting forums as a starter.

The EQ2 economy is totally messed up at the moment.... or rather it is on my server, Najena.

The reasons for this are:-

- the Crafting system is over complex, cumbersome and (this is an opinion) broken. Four levels of subcomponent to make a simple level 4/5 spell is simply ridiculous!

- because of the above, player made items are vastly overpriced (because crafters want reward for the horrendous time and effort they have to put in to make even the most simplest item) or items are simply unobtainable (like many under level 10 spells and abilities).

- the amount of income players get from drops is not enough to afford these vastly overpriced player made items.

- the botters are creating tons of coinage, seemingly unchecked, so much so that there are now over six websites offering coin for as little as £25 for 1plat

As a result people are giving up on crafting, buying coin, and buying the vastly overpriced played made items, thus making the crafters think that they are selling stuff are the correct price levels. This is a broken economy.

SoE need to totally revamp the crafting system, so that it is far easier to make items, put the base items back on the vendors (since they removed them things like tempers have gone through the roof price wise), thus prices will come down, and players will then be able to afford their upgrades.

They also need to seek out and destroy the botters. They'll never ever be able to totally remove the third party currency dealers from the game, but at least they can slow it down a fair bit.

These are opinions and as such are all right for the people that have those opinions. I am a crafter and an adventurer so I can understand all of the opinions. When I solo or group I don't see a lot of good loot going my way as often as I would like (the best stuff I get is usually for a different class since I am only 1 class out of many) but just today I looked for a new weapon for my Ranger on the broker and the crafted weapons were all lower DPS than the looted and quested ones for my level. So all three can be right in some circumstances. So for an individual adventurer the loot sucks because most of it isn't usuable by you and for a crafter the loot sold by adventurers on the broker is better than what you can make except some rares.

There isn't an easy or perhaps any fix for a problem of perspective.

There is nothing more absurd than a thread started to WHINE about whining. Is this supposed to be some big revelation on your part? At least the people that you are complaining about are providing some feedback. What are you providing?

- A post how to become a provisoner easily (obsolet since the last big patch)
- ideas for new expansions/adventure packs
- some solutions for problems I or other people see with gameplay issues
- lots of small advice/statistics/feedback for posters asking
- a good joke (or two)

Since YOU asked what I provide I am allowed to ask what you wish me to further *ad* to this board. I know it'be easier to tell what you DONT want me to do but it was your choice to talk about my input - so lets stick to it SMILEY

Actually, I'd bet most (i.e. more than 50%) of the threads on this entire forum can be boiled down to this: "I want what the other person has, and I want it easily and now".

Yeah.  Most posts on this board help further justify the desperate need for screening and culling stupid people at birth.
