It would be wise to fix the current game rather than to release an expansion patch, which will probably be a buggy piece of crap, as is the current game.

Then why stay if it is a buggy piece of crap and you expect any additions to be the same?  A whole lot of us enjoy the game and are very happy to see a mini-expansion released.  Somewhere I believe it has been stated that they have different resources working on the expansions than those that work with the game updates/fixes so really it is a non-issue.  I know some would say that they should move all the resources to do fixes, but then if it is just that easy why not just a hire a lot more people to do the fixes.  I am guessing because they have orders from the top to make profits on the game.... gasp !

I just wish the adventure packs would scale with your level. Then I might be tempted to buy them. But if its tailored for a specific level range, forget it heh...

It would probably be wise not to act like a whiny 5 year old if you want to provide intelligent feedback and partake in an intelligent discussion about the game.

I only stay cause I'm a sadomasochist and wanna see how much worse than SWG this game can become. They brought a dev over from SWG and he's big on nerfing everything to death.

Depends on what side of the game your looking at. Aye, there have been a ton of fixes and Im thankful for that, but there is stuff that needs serious attention still. I was thinking the same as the first poster to this thread, "wow, an expansion already". But of course, I will hit the pre-order now button SMILEY

its not really an expansion, its more of a patch that you pay extra for....

So then, what does this patch do for me as mainly a tradeskiller?

I guess you are the expert on what the difference is between a patch and an expansion?  That is even more talented sine you have not seen the expansion yet.

By the way a definition of a patch (as it relates to computer software).

    Patch

  1. Computer Science. A piece of code added to software in order to fix a bug, especially as a temporary correction between two releases.

Maybe your statement might have some degree of validity if you said it was an update rather than an expansion.  Since they have released numerous free updates so far I could see you thinking that this is at least comparable to those free updates, but that we pay for it.  From what they have announced though this seems much larger than any of those free updates.... kind of like a mini-expansion.  Hey maybe it should be called an Adventure Pack !

Sorry my point was just that people act like its a full fledged expansion, but thats just not the case. Its more like a scenario for a pnp game.
