My Goodbye Fan Art. Im leaving EQ2.

Im not in the mood to explain why right now, so I will do it later or tomorrow... meanwhile, here I leave the 2 pictures.

For all my friends, and everyone I have met T_T :

Used 2 Screenshots as reference, and used a screenshot as background.

And this one is made only to EQ2 ARtist team for their awful work; to EQ2 Game Designers who are making this game so deceiving with expansions with little content, without any social feature and making the world " feel " even worse than was at the beggining; to Hartsman for letting this game die like this, and to SOE president... Im still waiting those " revolutionary features never seen before in a MMORPG. Thanks to you all for making this game so deceiving. To you, Mishu says bye like this (hope you still have some sense of humor hidden somewhere):

****INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT REMOVED****

Raijinn says - **THE OTHER PICTURE THAT YOU POSTED IS NOT APPROPRAITE SO PLEASE DO NOT POST IT, THANK YOU**

Im heaing from alot of people how dull/boring/cheap this game is and how much it sucks, and I wonder, why are you paying sony every month to make you so miserable?
And why the need to flame and cause drama on the way out when you finally do leave?

No disrespect meant to any of the posters.  I just dont get it I suppose.  Yes Im having fun with the game still.  Sue me.
The first pic is very well done and a beautiful rendering.  The second... well, crude is the nicest word that comes to mind.

Do not misunderstand me. I really loved and enjoyed Everquest 2. But that was when I still had hopes to see the features I would like in the game : social clothes, better armor and weapon design, expanding the world adding new continents (and not a couple of flying islands or a small desert island... Dungeons are nice, but I also wanted more real world to explore, something like a big continent where you can even think "hey,... Im lost now " ) , real zones of seas with boats to travel around, (like in the sea of tears of EQ1, i.e.), some more exciting towns to visit and live in, and the most important, new social features that makes people interact with each other and has nothing related to combat. If you take a lok at this game, right now the only reason to play with more people is to hunt monsters... there is no social components on the game... crafting, the biggest alternative to combat is a very lone activity, and forget about exploring because the world (not dungeons) is so small that you can see it all in 3 hours.

If I was still paying to SOE was because I was hoping to see some (or at least one) of the features I mentioned above... but Kingfom of Sky  ONLY adds combat and more combat... irrelevant flying zones that will limit even more your exploration, without a new town, and without any new social feature. At least Desert of flames added a town (that I really do not like much, but that's a personal opinion, the town is there afterall), added the voice emotes (that are nice imho), and the Arena with their pokemon fight (That I tried once and never did again becouse I do not like it). And even if I thought DoF was a bad expansion, now I think it was awesome compared to KoS.

Try to understand that to someone like me who is not interested only in combat, an expansion like KoS makes me feel sick. And about making a drama for leaving... I do not know how much did you play with your character, or how important is it for you, but for me, as a roleplayer, I became Mishu for  the 80 days of /played I have, and that's almost 2000 hours  being Mishu Moonlight. It is sad for me to leave that character, that little piece of me, but I will not stay anymore for the reasons I said before. Be sure that if someday this game changes and adds important social features I will come back, but I really doubt it after looking the content in the first two expansions. Who knows, time will tell (like Utada Hikaru said =P)

-Mishu Moonlight-

I too have put alot of time in.  Liviya has played 110 days to be exact. http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=266227104

I agree with you that there are alot of things I wish the game had.  The simple act of being able to sit in a chair or lay in a bed would make me giggle like a school girl.  I play on Antonia Bayle, a RP server as well.  Much of Livi's time was spent just interacting with the people there.  At the end of the day, for me, no matter the game mechanics, its the people, the friends I have made that make the game for me.  We can be mindlessly killing the same mobs in Silent City night after night, but as long as i have my friends, we make it fun.

I do respect your decision to leave however, if your not happy.  My post truly was not a flame ( although that pic is still crude SMILEY ).  Good luck to you in your journeys, wherever they may lead you.

Yeah more social interaction will be great, like player made cities or some other content without constant fighting lol, an alternative to it, like it was said tradeskill is very lonely, group tradeskill (build boats, ships, houses..lol) now that would be fun, and sea fighting (within ships, lol), etc...etc... there is much to develop Soe hehehe, im still hoping....

I agree with social aspects. Questing, fighting, and adventureing are all covered, but when you get to the social aspect of the game, there is little to nothing. You can't enter a pub, buy a drink, have it show up in your hand, and go sit down at a table to enjoy it.How about some chess or card games we can play? How about automatic emotes that happen depending on what we are saying, like in WoW. A question emotes a shrug, a shout emotes a shouting style action, etc etc. The communication is just so static when it's player to player, yet NPCs are full of movement and life.I remember back in beta we would talk about these things, and we still want them in the game. Player houses also seem very static to me as well, when I walk around North Qeynos I don't feel like I'm walking down a row of houses. What happened to decorating the outsides of houses? Oh wait, we can't, they are all static...I would really like neighborhoods, maybe different 'blocks' in different zones with rows of houses which we can fully decorate inside and out with a yard and everything. We could have neighbors, subscribe to a newspaper for a silver a week with the weekly news of the server. That is social.Maybe I expect too much from a game....but EQ2 is fun for now. SOE is just starting out, EQ2 has only been out for a year and a half about. I hope they get it right...

I agree that this game still has a lot of things to say, but right now, the features of the next expansion does not interest me, that's why I will leave. Of course, there's a chance that I will come back in the future if the game starts to feature the things l like. But I think it has not much sense to stay if I do not like it now.

I want you to know you will be missed.  We met only once, and I am sure you do not remember me, but I remember you.  It had been a dark day for me and I sat pondering what path to take on the road before me.  You wandered past me and took the time to speak to the troubled Kerran monk sadly watching people fighting each other for no reason.  You gave me hope and I will not forget the lovely Kerran I met that day.  You where the light that shown on the path I have followed ever since.

May your journey be safe, and may peace find you what ever path you take.
