Oh c'mon Nesse, you know it's easy to keep up with arrows... you just don't use them. Melee through every fight and you'll never run out of arrows. So what if your DPS suffers, no one on the raid will care...

No Bongo don't you get it.. the devs realized that you were the most important ranger to ever grace these forums and the everquest franchise all together, with you leaving they had no choice but to comply SMILEYJK will be great to have you back, and hopefully mouse will be fixed again. Err or whatever you want to call it, as it was as far as I know intentionally.

looks like i spoke too soon. i guess i'm just tired of arrows. i'm going to stick with my necro who has just 1 consumable used for a rez that i've never needed to use and have 42 of. it's just not worth the aggravation of consumables anymore.

Well I hate to see that this is happening, but I cannot blame you for your decision. Played my lvl 33 ranger last night and had a blast till I took notice of my arrows going down so fast it isn't funny. So I just trade skill with him and summon arrows till I get my quiver full then back out. I just don't like doing that takes days to get all those arrows and maybe an hour of hard playing to fire them all. I could buy them but even the cost for me at lvl 33 is insain. I feel the pain. Sorry that it has flustered you so bad that you have taken this action, but maybe I should do the same till something gets done. Btw why can't rangers use their bows/ca's while on the run? Should let us have that abillity but make the chance to hit a little harder while on the move.

I'd love to see this, but it will never happen I think. I believe that rangers used to be able to do this, but that it  was actually changed at some point.

TBH for pvp it would make rangers very overpowered, especially with the in-combat runspeed buffs.

Ya, Rangers used to be able to use a fair number of CA's while on the move, but over the numerous patches since the game was released they were changed.  It probably had something to do with the DEVS position that kitting was not going to be possible in EQ2.  Although later they changed that obviously cause we now are quite effective at kitting with the tools they gave us.

Darn, Bongo I will miss you  ( I even named my pet Mouse after your Comics - I hope i do not infringe any copyright you may have put on it though SMILEY ). But I understand, I love my Ranger but just got frustrated waiting raid after raid for the right fabled bows and arrows generating bows. I did not create a Necro in EQ2 like you, but a Ranger in Vanguard (level 18 now) and I am quite happy about it even if the character graphics are not as good as EQ2 and if lag is rampant. I am not advertising for Vanguard, but maybe give it a shot, The Ranger there has a lot of what we are missing in EQ2 (much better balanced between melee and range, dps and utilities) and if you couple it with the diplomacy sphere and crafting (carpenter) then you can make really powerful bows and arrows is not anymore an issue (any Ranger can also make arrows with foraging). Corwin EQ2 Ranger 70 - Hero guild - Oasis server Vanguard Ranger 18 - Protectors of Truth guild - Woefeather server

i have vanguard and i did make a ranger and tried him out up to level 6. after the speed and style of the EQ2 ranger is experienced i cant really enjoy the vanguard ranger. it's just too slow for me. i have a necro in vanguard and i like that better but lag is huge in vanguard. i had to turn down the graphics to basically EQ1 style and it still lags. prolly my 128MB video card and i cant justify upgrading it for 1 game when EQ2 runs with NO lag at higher graphics settings.
