Fairly new to EQ2 and Rangers and I have a few questions about what my stats do, especially as it requires to damage output.Strength says it modifies my melee dmg output. Does this also apply to bow damage? If not, is there a stat that increases bow damage? I have also been noticing intelligence seems to increase my poison damage. Is there a known ratio of Int to dmg increase? And does intelligence increase the critical strike chance of poison and other spell effects? And finally, does Agility modify my damage ouput in anyway or is it only used for avoidance and power pool? Thanks all, I appreciate your input.

You pretty much have it all down. Str increases melee, int poison and as far as my knowledge goes no stat raises bow CAs. As far as the int/dmg ratio goes I raised my int by 100 and got 100 more damage per proc on my caustic, don't know if that will make me get more crits. I don't even know if the 1:1 int:dmg is across the board or just for my one case. Man, I don't know anything, why am I trying to help?

![]() STR = Autoattack and CA damage as well as increases power pool. This is our primary stat. AGI = Avoidance and power pool. Important for soloing and some grouping situations. INT = Poison damage and magical proc damage. Although very importatnt in all areas, not as importatnt as STR. My poisons count for 12-15% of my total damage in raids. I don't parse outside of raids, but I'm sure it's a higher percentage of total damage in groups and soloing. And yes, bow damage is a type of melee damage for this purpose. Magical crit percentage affects poison and spell crits. I don't know of anything else that does. But INT does affect how much your poisons crit for.

![]() I put together that post about the exact effect of INT on poisons but unfortunately it was before the last stat cap changes so I'm not sure it is still a linear relationship and the base values have probably changed. Maybe someday i'll go back and fix it up.

It might be my imagination, but most of my poison 'crits' seem to do the same amount of damage as my non-poison crits..

think its just coincidence. My caustic crits at about 1.5k but my regualr bow shots can go as high as 6k-7k and my CA's like SOA can go 1.8k a shot in raids.
