No they mean that the skill mod it uses is now ranged, instead of piercing.

I have a dumb question... where does this drop? I've tried to look it up on OGaming, but can't find it.

How does Saranak damage compare to Bazkul's ?   Does the Bazkul's summoned ammo make up the diffrence in damage rating?  I imagine the best set up would be Sarnak bow with summoned ammo from Ichorstrand or Bazkuls.

Your assumption is correct.  I don't have a Bazkuls nor have I seen it drop, someone else is going to have to answer that 100%.

I'm gonna take an educated guess and say the 10DR difference between Bazkul and Sarnak, doesn't make up for the T8 ammo, making Bazkul hit harder, especially on higher level raid mobs.

Yes but imagine Bazkul's Ammo (or Ichorstrand) with the Sarnak bow. :smileyhappy:

Maybe if someone figures out a way to link the fabled bows, we can all spend some time here drooling...I know that it will be a LONG time, if ever that I get me one of those :smileysad:

Yes that's why I'm the first in line to get to DT for a shot at Ichorstrand....

There is a thread here somewhere with screen shots of all these bows.  You just have to dig around some and find it.  And no I'm not going to go find it for you :smileymad:

Out of the people who have killed Veneker (sp?) how rare is the Sarnak War Bow. My guild is getting very close to killing this dragon and just curious what im looking at as a wait time. ATM ive been very lucky and have Ichostrand and Wurm Destroyer, but would imagine not only the DR increase on the war bow but the longer delay would proc poisons more often that I would see a nice dps increase.

In 4 months of clearing DT and HoS, we've had Bazkul (tarinax) drop once, Ichorstrand (drake) drop twice, and Ancestral  Sarnak Warbow NEVER drop.

In the last 5 or so months we have seen 2 bakzul, 1 ichor, and 1 sarnak. In the last week we saw to of those drops. So for the most part, they are rather rare.

-Katsugen

btw the Ranger Resource sticky has pics of the bows.

I was lucky enough to have Ichorstrand drop on the first kill of the Drake. Not managed a Sarnak or Baz'kul yet though. But the T8 legendary ammo from Ichorstrand works in any bow, so yes. Sarnak with the viscid globs... Good thing.

I'm guessing we got lucky then.... Ichorstrand dropped twice in a row for us. Now if we could just get Venekor to cooperate....

Current tally for us from constant clearing is Ichor:2, Bazkul:1, War bow: 1 (last night).

It's Lyceum tonight so I'll have a look at how much difference the Sarnak makes to my zonewides. I estimate the T8 ammo added 200 DPS give or take a few (but the really nice thing about it is the constant supply of decent quality ammo). It will be interesting to see how much the Sarnak affects the parse.

Mirdo.

Another week of DT and still nothing here. This is becoming very depressing. SMILEY

At the risk of a minor de-rail, I would say chin up and keep hoping. One of the Rangers in the top raid guild on our server (been clearing DT forever) only just got his Ichor recently. The bow drops seem to be quite rare and it's purely luck how fast you get them.

He also reported a roughly 200 DPS bump from the ammo.

Mirdo.
