I am 56th level and some how missed this, is it worth the time to go and get it? the discription I read is pretty vague about what it does.

Thanks in advance.

i think that was a level 20 spell. i have it. i think it's snare and a 10% slow but i haven't used it in a million years. probably wont land on anything close to your level.

It lands just fine, even on epic mobs 70+   (I'll explain later)

To the OP, you should get it.  Not because it's a snare.  It shares its reuse timer with your other class snare and your class snares will land their snares more often.

You should get it anyway because it has along with it a very large magic resistance debuff.  This magic debuff portion of the spell will stick even on epic mobs when the snare itself won't.

So why should you care about debuffing magic?  Isn't the heat debuff from the ranger class snare more suitable for you to use?  Generally, yes.  But

-- Sometimes mobs are heat resistant and your normal ranger snare won't work as well

-- You might glance at pending changes to hex dolls...soon they will have a magic check on them to determine whether their effects stick to a mob (currently they have a heat check).

-- You never know when (for whatever reason) you will be in an encounter where quickly magic debuffing a mob will be important

It's the Splitpaw one. The Bloodlines one is called 'Honed Reflexes', a haste buff. But unlike the Bloodlines one, you can only get Trick of the Hunter when you have the Splitpaw AP.

Trick of the hunter also has another part to it, I think it's called "perfect snare" which is a 10% chance to root the target after the snare terminates (chance to break on damage). Downside is it's on the same timer as Vines etc but upside is it could be quite handy for a mob to stop dead when approaching you to get more ranged CAs off before it closes on you for melee.

would honed reflexes be worth going back and getting at lvl 70?  does it stack with the other class spells?

Honed reflexes is always useful at every level. It's a decent haste boost (25-35%)  for a little over a minute (cant remember the timer).

I have the adept3 and I use it alot. It stacks with other haste buffs and in many groups or raids it usually puts me at 100% haste. Add that to our DPS buff, 2 fast melee weapons and caustic poison and your gonna do plenty of damage even on auto.
