Blackguard is taking the time to pass the new list along, I need This to be neat and Simple, state the problem and When u notice the difference.
 
Makeshift arrows= Carbonite We get it at 20's
Rip= Gives Feiyron arrows We get it At level 30's
Tear= We get It at 40's Still Gives Feiyron instead of fulginate.
 
Plz Post the bugs u have experience since Live Update #4
 
Also a suggestion blackguard is if the devs can play Rangers at levels 25, 35 and 45 and notice the difference is cost of items needed for combat (poisons, player made arros, npc arros) and the outpout in damage since this is quite a common topic on these forums.
Any feedback Will be greatly appreciated guys

Plane and simple..
 
Longshank does not work it is still broke... It should stealth the ranger and it does not.
 
Culling the heard  in my opinion does little DPS for the level of the spell.
 
Our DPS is bottom line subpar past level 45 plain and simple..
 
To even do subpar DPS past level 45 you need the most expensive arrows wich are ildidum ( spelling ) and at 3g a stack it cost a fortune to play the class.
 
Before level 45 No complaints the class rocks imo...
 
Thanks to Blackgaurd and yourself for taking the time to try and do something productive about this /cheer

Here are a few more bugs:* Steady Aim (we think) is broken. The duration is 15 mins, but the recast timer does not start until the buff icon dissapears.* Triple shot/triple fire do not seem to be affected by level or upgrades* Hidden fire says it does 591 damage on hit, it only does 200-350.* Activatable items have to be unequiped, reequiped to use.* "DPS at a Premium"* Disarm skill is useless above lvl 30...warriors open with almost zero repercussions.* Can't touch raid mobs without player made special arrows..and guess what..you can't find them being made on my server!* Did I mention that our cost of DPS is totally unbalanced?* Tank classes outdamage Rangers lvl 45+ with ease. And how much does their DPS cost an hour? ZERO

If a tank class is out damaging you 45+ your doing something wrong

Bruisers keep up and surpass us in DPS 50% or more of the time. I have hours of parsing data to back this up. Creature type and our arrow type play a HUGE part in this, but in general bruisers can out dps us when they aren't in tank mode.

Zemeckis85, if a tank does not surpass your dps, please tell me how.

 

Guardians are killing my dps at lvl 50 epic x4 raids. It's uncomparable. All our scouts (dirge, ranger, swashie, brigand) are all getting over-dpsed by 20%. Warlocks out dps by more than 90%. This is overall damage.

 

And yes, we know how to play our chars. We use PC poisons (epic mobs are immune to them, minions are not), different types of PC made arrows (depending on resists, normal arrows don't hit), different sets of weapon types (depends on resists). With a chanter+robe of invoker, we are always out of power. With PGT we get a bulb of power every now and then, but our dps drops.

Scouts are definately getting out dps'ed on all mobs. The "ranger are designed for short burst fight" crap isn't working anymore, but we don't have any end game value. Even with a level 50 master chest spear with 20% haste that stacks with the 15% on my fbss, I still got out DPS'ed by an assassin using heritage quest weapons, and we both got owned by all the other fighters on the raid. They rely on their weapons more than their damage skills, and their weapons own ours badly....

We have numerous white level bow techs, things like hidden shot/fire (think storm of arrows, still 3 levels shy) Rip/Tear etc, they should probably scale.Alot of them are identical to their lower level counterpart.Take Aim raises Bow skill, not Ranged. I believe someone mentined this, but why would we need bow skill raised? to let us equip a higher level bow for a few seconds? Also, is focus fire subject to this? and why dont they have raised durations? (and just in case I am wrong, if they are not meant to be upgrades to steady aim, then what use are they?)Steady Aim does not stack with Natural Instincts. Also, could we get natuaral Instincts cast time lowered? It raising Archery skill and thus the level that buffs get casted at makes them not overwrite each other. It makes it annoying trying to use viel for a HO if it wont take hold, same thing with trying to buff any buff and finding it wont take hold due to the previous one having been casted under NI, and NI then having another 5minutes to recast.Agi component on our agi buffs do not stack with our defensive buffs, negating portions of our buffs.Alot of skills show no difference from app to adept to master, though this appears to be every classes issue.Merkades

In addition level 32 Pouncing attack there is a lag of almost 3 seconds before you are stealthed, unlike shrouded strike that imediately stealths you after the damage is inflicted.

Good one GoNomar...I totally have forgotten about that one. Been bugging this and posting it for 12 levels with no luck. Can called me brainwashed into using a broken skill. Sure the lag isnt terrible, but I guarantee you that it does cost us DPS in the long run. I have an idea...how about they make us buy Bowstrings too...I have 50 silver lying around I'm not using after buying 40 gold of arrows for the next few days!

I too have noticed that some of our skills seems to be useless in the since that I will never use them (at level 35). Steady Aim and the line are just waste of power and effort in my opinion. I have never stepped back to shot my bow as a primary attack. The delay is rediculous and the damage is crap compared to what I can do in the fray. Adroit give an agi bonus which does not stack with other agi bonus (i'm not sure about the defensive buffs, although I have to assume they work cause I dodge a lot better with Adroit on).Personally I'll never you Spring (which only does 80-100 AoE damage at adept1).I'll never use a lot of my bow skills, Open shot, Flaming shot, Hidden shot, Miracle Arrow, Trick Shot. Some of these are due to lack of damage and the others are because their actually use is so rare that it's not worth keeping them on the Hotbar. (By the way for those who constinantly ask about ranger ustility Miracle Arrow and Trick shot are a part of that).I'm 35 and I do great right now. However, I'm starting to see the trend that the higher level players are talking about.

Yep, Pouncing Attack is broken and has been for as long as I can remember. Have /bugged it, but makes no difference it seems to something getting fixed.You can't queue up attacks behind it, and it won't stealth you for several seconds. Once you add in the lag caused by your connection/gfx update or whatever, it's just not worth trying to use it at all. I end up using my grey version of the skill instead and it works fine (although damage is lower than Pouncing Attack would be)I really don't see why this is taking so long to fix. The changce is just taking the previous level skill and upping the damage a big.Somebody at SoE needs to reprioritise their bugs with not just "number of players affected" but also "the time to fix"Oh, and just because nobody at SoE plays that class, doesn't mean it should automatically go to the bottom of the pile.

Oops am I late ? Ok anyway here is my list that i have posted in the abilities section because i don't think any dev reads this forum..I am going to create a new priority list for ranger bugs. I am extremely disappointed with their response to ChaosUndivided's bug list and that too after months.I will keep this updated every day till they fix them.(I) Level 47 LONG SHANK- This skill does NOT stealth the ranger when cast. Even after it was supposedly fixed after live update #4. This skill is useless.(II) Level 30 Rip/ Level 44.8 Tear- Both these skills are EXACTLY THE SAME with matching descriptions and rip Tier 4 arrows. Please allow us to Tear Tier 5 arrows.Its 3.5g per stack for those arrows which is usually a single fight.. that makes it 1 pp an hour just for arrows not counting the poisons, food/ drinks etc.As chaos pointed out, since they are NO VALUE, NO TRADE this shouldnt make us rich or anything.(III) Triple Shot(2SMILEY / Triple Fire (42) AND Trick Shot (24)/ Trick Arrow (3SMILEY-These two Skills do the EXACT same thing right down to power, casting, damage, and recast. They do not scale up with level.(IV) level 33 Pouncing Attack- Unlike Shrouded Strike which stealths the ranger IMMEDIATELY after it is used, Pouncing Attack has a 1-2 Second Delay before it stealth's the ranger, this makes it VERY difficult to chain cast combat arts that require stealth, as the ranger must wait 1-2 seconds before activating the next skill.(V) Power usage of skills .Please increase our Damage/ powerhave a look at this sincere story of a lvl 50 rangerhttp://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=39&message.id=5694(VI) Level 36 TAKE AIM & Recast timer on Steady AimTake aim still is not a 15 min buffEven though steady aim is a 15 min buff now its recast timer of 300 seconds starts only after the 15 mins are up. so basically you cannot cast for 5 mins after its up.(VII) Feral InstinctThis skill is SUPPOSED to grant increased Damange AND Increased agility. Since this buff is ALWAYS on (Veil of the Forest) the Agility Portion of Feral Instinct is USELESS(VIII) Dance of Leaves- This skill is SUPPOSED to grant increased Parry, Defense, AND Increased agility. However the Bonus Agility ( 10 in the case of Apprentice 1)l does NOT stack with the 15min Ranger buff, Veil of the Forest . All those mentioned above are broken for me as well as what I like to call the "Amazing and Expensive Disappearing Procs". I have reported this a few times and got the almighty form letter in reply and no word on whether anyone is working on this or what. I purchase the poisons (player made) and cast them expecting them to last the 12 hours they are stated to last. Problem is they just disappear at random especially when I zone. It is always a fun filled guessing game as to how long they will actually last.  I can cast them in QH, buy a ticket to another land, zone, and voila! No procs.
 
Thank you devs for finally looking into this. I know we rangers are a small group compared to other classes who likely get priority but this is because many of our peers just gave up and rolled other toons.  Can I also suggest Bow Crits? That might be nice. It is disheartening to see every class out dps us in melee let alone what we are made for.. Ranged!

Havent you guys left out one of the most important items, that is our ability to solo?At the moment 85% of of our main bow skills are simply unusable in a solo encounter. This is due to the fact that running backwards and shooting interrupts the skill and/or we have to be behind a target to use the skill.Our only chance of stunning a target is with cheap shot, which is a T1 skill, why isnt this skill upgraded? Where is the T2/T3/T4 version of this?

Miztress...poisons are used up after 12 hours OR 100 procs, whichever comes first. Now if you are losing them zoning right after applying...OUCH this is a NASTY bug.

Lvl 39 ability Primal Reflexes when upgraded from Apprentice I, to Adept I, increased the power usage from 38 to 41, but all the stats remain the same.  Duration is still 5 minutes, recast is still 600 seconds, Ranged increase of 6, Recon, Archery, and Stalking still an increase of 10.    So it's a waste of the 6 gold I spent on it.

Wow I didn't think We'd get the same post sent twice it's good to know that they are looking into us. If they could explain how scouts changed from the guide of being the highest damage outputers that would be great.

I hope you imposed upon Blackguard how important the Tear issue is, and arrows in general. Frankly the rest of the bugs arent so horrible, several have workarounds. Even longshank, you can use pouncing attack as a workaround. It sucks, but you only lost 100 or so damage per hit. As a 50 ranger who has been playing since the day before release, I can honestly say that TEAR not giving us T5 arrows is the biggest bug we have. This affects every aspect of our game play, as it drains our money heavily.
 
If they fix every bug on that list, and dont fix Tear, they will have failed.

IMO, even if they fix tear to produce a t5 arrow, we still have a HUGE dps cost. I think there are only two fair ways to fix this:1) decrease the cost of merchant arrows by OVER 50%2) Increase the amount of arrows a player can make to 50 per combine. This would drive player made arrow cost WAY down and Rangers all over the world would actually BUY them! AND there might actually be people that MAKE them. I RARELY find player made arrows on my server, and if there are some, they go for 5-10 silver apiece!
