I was under the impression that in PvP you could charm other players and have them attack their allies or even mobs. However, even time I charm another player and command him to attack something (e.g. another player with PvP range or a mob) I get the text " refuses to obey the command." and the player doesn't attack.

Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, I used to do this ALL the time, just for spits n giggles, but yeah i think us troubs have gotten screwed again, cause its been atleast a week or more since ive been able to have my new pet attack someone SMILEY me thinks the charm is now ALMOST completely useless.. Can still charm someome, evac, and have them evac to their normal evac point aswell..but..man..half the fun was making their brig attack their casters....

I think it may be dependent on subj skill and opposing level, etc... I used it the weekend before last on several opponents to varying effect.   I can't remember when the last GU was for some reason, though.Once to charm a level 55 healer and stick him on his 55~ish caster buddy (I'm 34, and obviously in a group at this point of my playing, they were quite red to me), the charm stuck, but I couldn't make him attack.A second time when fighting a level 32 non-heroic encounter with two mobs, a 36 assassin jumped me as I took out the first of two mobs.  I charmed him, and used him to demolish the rest of the encounter before I engaged him (and won btw :smileywink: )I do spam the attack button several times, so I'm not sure if it works immediately or might take a few tries for me.  My subj is still quite low though.

Hmm, dont know, I'll have to test it out versus my fiance's low lvl not-exiled character here soon. But I remember back in the day (a month or so ago maybe), I never, ever, had this problem.   The only problem i had was landing the charm, then after that i could send em in right away to attack their friend of various epic encounters...
