Last night I found myself in a pickup group with 4 mage-types & 1 fighter-type. I'm a level 27 troub and wanted to buff the mages, like I do in melee groups, but started wondering what I was doing. I buffed everyones defense, de-buffed the mobs, but I'm not confident I actually made a difference. I started to experiment with not-debuffing, not refreshing my buffs and didn't notice a difference. Battles were over so quickly we seldom had more than one HO (let alone time to re-roll em), I find detonating the chests a bit embarrasing & the spot was so good that tracking didn't come in very handy. As a support class I figure there should be no group I couldn't buff-up, but I suspect I may have found our weak-spot, we simply don't have alot (any?) buffs that mages find useful/desireable....people weren't running out of power so our combat-mana-regen was useless.I really wanted to pull out a combination of buffs to help out the mages....but was at a loss as to what I should be using. Any tips suggestions as to how I can add value to a mage-heavy group as a troubador?Whats our best agro-generating song-list? At times I really, really wanted to take the agro & did use charm, but re-casting random buffs didn't appear to do anything. The tank was having trouble holding agro & I couldn't figure out if it was him or the insane amounts of damage from the mages. Are some buffs better at generating agro than others?

![]() We don't offer much for casters atm. The ones I use in caster heavy groups are:
Nothing fantastic there but it gets the job done. Can they live without it? Sure. Does it help? Probably.
