Was looking at the AAs on my Brigand, and noticed the conditions on 2 of the lines. They seemed very....rare. The 2 im talking about is the one where you have to have a buckler equipped to use the skills (i know, some people might use bucklers on their Brigand, i have only seen maybe 3 scout types in the year i playedthat does) and the one that really gets me, is "you must have an empty offhand". So to use this line, the WIS line I believe we have to run around with a 1 hander weapon and an empty secondary slot. This I have NEVER seen. Wouldn't this defeat the purpose of a Brigand? Aren't we at least pretty good DPS? Not to mention the huge hit of having an empty slot, which means no stats from the weapon or buckler we are holding. Anyone else think this is ridiculous?

![]() One of the skills in the WIS AA line is a skill that allows a double attack if I remember correctly. I think it was 66% chance or something at level 8. That SHOULD put it higher damage then dual wielding without the same skill. That being said, the loss of stats from an offhand item isn't worth it for me...so I will not be picking the WIS line.
As for the STA line requiring a shield, I find that acceptable. That line is designed for a tanking Brigand, and we are pretty good tanks. I figure though, that although we are pretty good tanks...we are not great tanks. Even with this AA line, we would still only be pretty good tanks, and still have less hp then a real tank...so why bother? |

maybe if they added on to one of the passive skills for the WIS line that would take a percentage of the stats from your primary weapon and added that to your passive skill. I've always heard that 2 handed wepaon is considered 100% dmg, 1 handed is 75% and dual wield weapons are 50% each. Why not take 25% of each stat your 1 handed weapon gives and add that on. That way you would have the stats bonus of 100%. No loss of stats. Be more unique seeing a few brigands and swashys running around with just 1 weapon and an open hand. I personally would choose that line then. Not sure if the above psuedo-calculations made any sense. I assume that stats bonuses work the same as dmg does on weapons. For 1 handed you would get 75% stats, and if you made those stats automaticlly raise up to give you stats of say a 2 hander which is 100%, you would have no loss of stats bonuses and would get the dmg of your 1 hander plus whatever bonuses the WIS line gives you. Like the possibility of doing double dmg.I don't think this would be too overpower. And as far as implementing it shouldnt be too bad. I dont know, I might just having wishful typing lol.

imho...... to get the wis line to full effectiveness you only need about 25 aa's, (im not taking the last rank at all, too many aa's for a so-so skill). if you put 8 points into str you get +32 str, i dont know any weapon that has that much str on it. and you STILL have points left over for agi or int.now with double attack on 2 diff skills we should have about an 80% chance to double attack.(if they stack and they [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] well better). so basically (if you go by just numbers) you swing 100 times your hitting 180 times. i personally plan on using sandstorm in primary. i also would still like to know if poison is going to proc off of the double attacks if it does we are going to rock.

![]() There are still lots of questions re: weapon restrictions on AA. What counts as a Sword for the STR AA line? Just ones with sword in the name and not Rapeir, sabre etc which are types of swords? Both DW and 1H? And while we are at it, what counts as a rapier (maybe Sabre), dagger (maybe stilletto or sai?) Would a Buckler, or any equipable shield work instead of just a round shield for STA? I think the restrictions would better serve the community if they looked in both the priamary and secondary slots. So with Rapier and Dagger you could do AG and INT lines without switching. If Rapier counted as a sword, then you could do three out of the five. |

Question about Opportunistic Cover in the STA line - is that 7% more DPS per level up in it? If so, that's 156% damage with a 1h weapon - which with all crafted is above DW damage :smileysurprised: Also applies to the uber fableds you can buy on the PvP servers...
