Fake. Attuneable items cannot be No-Trade. On top of that, the editing is pretty sloppy. I mean, an EQ1 icon? C'mon.

From what I remember Soulfire was/is a 2-handed sword as well.

Not to mention the icon itself is that of a combat art, not a weapon.

There are programs on the internet that allow people to create fake weapons and successfully link them in the game, you know.

I've never even heard of Soulfire, and the stats on it look the same as the gibberish on all items to me. All I ever look at is whichever one stat I am particularly aiming to improve - the rest I just tune out. EQ2 has about the worst item stats of any game I have ever played, in that there is far, far too much detail. Even so, the EQ1 screamed out at me that this was a fake.

Soulfire was the paladin epic weapon v1 from EQ1. In EQ2, Lucan has it and SOE has a few illustrations of him with the signature flaming bladed sword. According to EQ2 lore, both the paladins and shadowknights lay original claim to the sword Soulfire and since Lucan seems to be a little bit of both classes in EQ2, it's appropriate that he has it.:smileywink:

Soulfire wasn't the paladin epic, you silly goose :smileytongue:. It was just one of them items needed to get the epic

Technically, it was the paladin epic before they introduced epic quests into the game.

Actually, the only thing that was really epic about it was the quest to do it. Otherwise, it was a pretty decent 2HS but there were other weapons pre-Kunark that were better. The Fiery Avenger was actually the pre-epic era Paladin epic (that quest, although fewer steps, made the SoulFire quest look like a newbie "kill 10 rats" quest.)

The original SoulFire never had a proc, either.  It had 5 charges of Complete Heal. And it wasn't all that unique of a sword after a while, either. Once it was found that you could use it from an inventory slot, everyone and their brother went out to get one for the healing...Though only paladins could actually equip it. Was a very good day when they made it mandatory to have it equipped before the heals could be used. SMILEY (Was the same patch that made Ghoulbane NO DROP.)

As I recall it was because of the Soulfire that epic weapons in EQ1 became to be. Alot of people felt that if a sucky pally got an uber weapon then the rest of us should also get one, thus epics became to be. In EQ1 I only recall it having a heal property with no direct damage but I didn't play that class so don't know for sure.

What website did he make that from? I know there are ones for EQ1 that you can make "fake items", did they ever make one for EQ2?
