Some Obelisk of Lost Souls Lore.

Thought you guys might be interested in this. Deep within the Obelisk of Lost Souls are some scrolls. On these scrolls there is information given on how to inhabit material hosts and such. On others however it goes into the different worlds the Obelisk is connected to. I do not recall (nor did I have time to write it down) all the names but there was 4 or 5 worlds besides Norrath that the Obelisk was connected to. The last world specified had been closed by request. Also on another scroll was a list of people to be abducted and replaced which I did write down. Pardon any mispellings I was in a hurry and am having a hard time reading what I wrote. The names are Fibby Bobick (those of you who have done EF access should be familiar with this name), Markus Jaevins, Tobon Starpyre, Milean Clothspinner, Kyle Bayle, and Vurgo. Just curious what you guys think. Next time I head into the Obelisk I will try to get my people to stay in the room long enough for me to write all the lore down.

/log it. When you click most interactive items like that the text usually comes up on screen so if you just /log, and let all the text run through, then turn off /log, it should be easy to find in the .txt file SMILEY

I have found the Goblin and have the drop needed to open the Vestibule. I HAVE zoned into the Vestibule however spent hours looking to where to place the the semi-consciuos Goblin body without luck. Goto Eq2 players and llokk me up ("xeon") ; goto my gallery and goto "Vestibule Opened" to view my Jounral Screenshot.

I CANNOT zone into the vestibule anymore for some reason. The day I zoned for the first time , once I zoned out it said I could not enter for 3 days.

I am starting to think this quest is broken.

That just means the vestibule is an instanced zone. Like Nektropos Castle.

Tobon Starpyre is one of the Starpyre triplets. His gnome brothers are Maelin Starpyre, and Yendar Starpyre. Maelin was the *leader* of Plane of Knowledge, and a powerful mage. Milean (More likely Milea) Clothspinner was an NPC in EQ1 who was related to a few quests, apparently her sister, running the shop in Qeynos was looking for her, she was also having an affair with Kane Bayle, and I think she ran away because she was having an affair with a GM in the warrior guild but left him for Kane Bayle.

Markus Jaevins was the leader of Erudin. There was some info about him related to a few quests I can nto remember the details at this time.

As for Vurgo, I've never heard of him or her.

Vurgo was an NPC in the Temple of Solusek Ro in EQ1, gave the Harvester quest.

Clothspinner had some guy in love with her, but she thought he was icky... and then the Bloodsabre's conspired to have her killed because they thought she'd still have a hold on Kane Bayle because she was his ex.

Fiddy Bobick we all know now... did that whole EF crap...

Tobon was indeed involved in that telescope quest in Ak'Anon...

Now... I know absolutely nothing about Kyle Bayle.

Now, does anyone have an idea of how these people relate to the EQ2 world?

I was thinking about talkng to the Clothspinner girls later today, and the Bobick family too. But I know of no modern connection to Markus Jaevins or Tobo Starpyre, and even worse how can I get to Bayle(the only real way to talk to any of the Bayle members is that Queen) except through... level 30 guild quest...

Hey wait a minute...

There's a lot of talk about level 30 guild quest linking to Bayle in the Castle and that linking somehow to the Frogloks (supposedly in the Tempe of Cazic Thule), but the Obelisk of Lost Souls might... and supposedly this Obelisk is linked to these six people...

But the Obelisk of Lost Souls is full of the equivalent of Pod People (they inhabit the bodies of others)...

This is the 3rd or 4th one on these boards lately. Since the other ones weren't reported, I kind of figured maybe the rules were a bit different on the lore boards since so much of what we talk about can come to light several months later. Not that I want all the posts to come back, but it's fun to see some of the things come out that were speculated on. Although, this topic probably has some more recent ones on which to discuss SMILEY

I just finished one of the parts of the Claymore quest with the droag ghost in the Sanctum of Scaleborn. Blythe? I think he mentioned the name Kyle Bayle in his ramblings. I thought I just misread it and it was really Kane, but now... I think I remember a -y- in the name.
