Hey guys i need some quick help with picking a healer...So far the only healer I've played to a high lv was a warden on a PvP server but now I'm trying to make one on oasis...So let me just get to the point.
 
I want a healer that can do decent dmg, Heal well, survive and be able to kill groups (Blue or white) or solo heroics (lower lv then me) even single targets (A lv or two higher then me)
 
Out of these 4 which can get all those jobs done or at least come close to getting them done.
 
Defiler
Mystic
Templar
Inquisitor
 
By the way im posting here cause i ran a defiler...Just wanna know if i should change him.
 
 
PS. That's pre AA line survival ability...Just in case i cant raise them to much.

My experience through level 44 has been that I solo heroic groups up to blue con slowly, but reliably.  I am able to handily defeat solo encounters 5 levels above me.  I've solo'd some green ^^^'s in long fights that completely depleted my power, but I guess if you're wanting to farm some named encounters, its doable.  From what I can tell so far, the defiler is a formidable class and have enjoyed it a lot.  Each level gets better and better =)

I've solo'd pretty much exclusively all the way up to 48. I have 11 AA points, that are, right now, devoted only to Wis and Int stat raises.I can solo one level red 'solo' mobs with no arrows about 75% of the time, occassionally I have to run or die because the dice don't like me and they resist nearly everything I toss at them. I can take Orange and Yellow 1up solo mobs in every situation where I don't risk many adds. I can take blue and green tripple and double up heroics up to three levels below my current (up to level 45 ^^^, right now), with little risk of death, unless I get adds and one or more of them have snares/roots. I've only been able to take a named ^^^ once, at level 46 and it was a 36 level mob (very bottom level green, one level from grey).I think that's pretty well done for a 'group' oriented class with 'no DPS' ability. When soloing for XP, I usually do white/yellow solos, and I tend to go through them like butter (usually only a bubble of power loss, and no health). Occassionally, I get a burr up my butt and switch to green/blue ^^^'s, and that tends to be slower on the xp (cause it usually costs about 3 bubbles of power, or more, hence, much more downtime), but better on the loot and much more challenging.EDIT: I should also note that I don't have much more difficulty soloing encounters with more than one mob verses encounters with just one. Two ^^'s are only slightly more challenging than one ^^^. About the only groups I've had trouble with are the ^^^'s with one or more 1downs or no arrow mobs.

Soloing a defiler is a painful process, at least compared to other classes.You'd probably be better off with a fury for a healer with some (relative) dps.

Well thanks for the response guys....From my other topic I've just decided if anything ill run an Inquis and a Defiler.
 
And i don't want to run a fury cause there's way to many of them.

Inquisitors are still somewhat rare @ lvl70 on Oasis. I'm starting to see many more Defilers. If you just wanna solo either is fine, if you wanna spot in a few of the good Oasis raidguilds later on an Inquisitor may be a better choice.
