![]() Will this change include our group wards as well, such as Seeping Eschar, and Carrion Shield? |

![]() Yeah, wraith form needs to be tweaked some. I took my helmet off the other day just to see if I could look like a headless horseman and the head that it showed me looked like a dark elf...which isn't all bad except for the fact that I'm an Iksar. Although really I'd much rather you devote your time and effort to fixing our higher level wards, that's a much bigger issue than how I look without a helmet in wraithform.

![]() I'm glad wrath form is going to be fixed as I end up either using my dark elf eye or the rodent form to cover it up. But the most important thing to fix is our defiler wards... now, I just got my new ward not long ago, and I upgraded it to app IV right away, but I never saw it drop at all, even with DOT damage, was this fixed recently?

![]() I agree with most of what the original poster said about Defiler issues. Especially the issue with Spectral Guard. However, the only complaint I have about Baleful Countenance is that it should use the players race model with the wraith/shroud effect instead of a standard form for all Defilers. Looks like a human with a big handlebar moustache. As far as the fear proc. It is much much much better than a poison proc. The poison proc did not hit for very much. It is much more beneficial to have a sequence of 2 or 3 skipped attacks than a poison proc that does 15 points of damage. That was sucky. The spell already did too many other things for it do any significant damage and the switch to a fear proc was a much better benefit than when it was a posion proc. Instead of crying to SoE to switch this back to a poison proc how about asking them to fix pathing. Mobs should not be running into walls anytime, anywhere or anyway and there are more ways for this to happen than this fear proc. Broken pathing is an issue that affects everyone not just Defilers using their marquee spell. If anyone told me to turn it off I'd /leave group in a heartbeat. In a nutshell, keep the fear proc, use my dwarf model under that wraith/shroud effect and fix pathing.

![]() A fix for Spectral Guard and Malefic Shroud will be going in as part of the next major update, going out to Test server next week. Other issues are noted and will be investigated.
I'm certainly not belittling the issues posted here, and I think it's awesome for you guys that a dev posted. However, I just wanted to point out that this is the 2nd "class concerns" thread to which I've seen Moorgaard respond in recent weeks. The illusionist forum has had a very complete and well discussed thread up for a LONG time and we have only gotten one response from a board mod (which, sorry, I like those guys..but their voice doesn't have the weight of the community representative or one of the devs). Not whining really, and again, I apologize for posting in the defiler thread about another class; however, I think the community should know that some classes definately appear to be getting a lot more attention than others....

I'm sorry to hear that about illusionest class (if thats what you were trying to say) but a class defining ability should be addressed and we've been waiting a long time for this also. Just like you say some classes recieve more attention then others and we're defenitely not one of them.

![]() Level 29 Defiler in EQ2, Shaman in EQ1 for 3+ years, spent quite a bit of time at 60+++ doing end game raids, hear are some problems with spells/problems that I see. #1 problem, our single target heal spells never ever drop, or are for sale on the broker, this is due to non existant drop rate compared to other class spell/skill drops, and the rediculous rarety of the books you have to have to make them, that you can't get after like level 9 cus the mobs that drop them are gray. I'm level 28 and haven't been able to upgrade any of my single target heals spells past AppIII because of this. and have only gotten one upgrade single target heal. Level 28 Profane Accretion, group heal(incorrectly labled) Orange at level 28, Heals 255 HP to all, costs 143 power, has 24 second recast. Lvel 14 Breath of Spririts: Group heal, Adept 1 Green at level 28, Heals 301 HP to all, costs 130 power, has 7 second recast time HELLOOO level 14 group heal spell is better!!! heals more, and 1/3 recast time!!! Level 20 'fun' spells turns us into a small red eyed rat, when most everyone elses 20 fun spell is cool, ours is not. I refuse to buy/use this spell for this reason. Also I don't want my perspective 6 inches off the ground(heard about this from others) In EQ1 I was a Great white Bear at higher levels, then they let lower levels have the bear form, completely devaluing the spell, now I'm a small red eye'd rat?? no thanks. Spectral Guard level 26 Ward, doesn't seem to ward any more damage than our level 10 ward! and the heal it gives when it drops is basically insignifigant. I still use my level 10 ward in group since Spectral Guard is basically in insult of an upgrade. Debuffs's I'm going to comment on all our debuff's in general" They all seem to be jack of all trades ,master of none buffs that don't seem to make any difference with ones you use, since there is hardly any noticable change no matter wich ones you use from level 7 to level 28, I have never notice any 'upgrade' to any of my debuffs, I just have more of them, the icons show up, but I can't tell any difference in using 1 level 7debuff, or stacking my two highest debuffs, how bout some actuall debuffs, that work, and the actually get better with upgrades. Distill soul: ?? um what? what the heck does this even do? I bet there are like... zero defilers using this, gee thanks for yet another vague spell that doesn't seem to do anything worth wasting our time on., like we got room in our hot bar for this. Abominus, weee another spell that does something we can already do(not really an upgrade as are so many of our spells) the supposed dot thats added with breath underwater is not noticable. Degeneration, and Drandamir's Draining fog, how come when I stack both of these (do a whole buch of stuff in addition to slow attack speed) I don't notice any difference at all in the mobs attack speed, what is this 1% slow stacked with 1% slow? Do they even stack? are our maintained spell icon's bugged and there not really stacking? is one over righting the other? I certainly can't tell. IMO I like Baleful countanence, nice buff, free fear that take some damage off us for a short time, and it looks cool. |
