First Ward worth it?

Is the ward we get at lvl 26/ 27 worth upgrading to adept 3, or should I not bother? I have Adept 3 Spectral Ward right now, and it lasts an insane amount of time in regards to other levels, just wandering if it is a good spell, considering some of my main character (wizard) spells have great intentions, and fall flat. Thanks for the advice.PS- this is not the reactive ward, but the one you get at mid level. Marle20 Defiler

I have spectral ward adept 3 and I also plan on getting the next one adept 3..might as well.

Right now our group has 1 assasin, 1 SK, 1 Wiz, 1 coercer, 1 inquist, and Me. We dont have any issues at all. me and the inquis never hardly ever run out of power. Id definatly get it.

Yes the adept 3 ward is only getting better as I progress (naturally!). Thanks for advice, I'm saving up for a tier 3 rare right now... ^_~

I would definetely upgrade as soon as you can. It is a substantial increase in value. I would also look to upgrade HR if you haven't already. It is a very good choice in the 10-19 range for upgrade.

You will definitely want to upgrade Spectral Guard as you move into the 30's. Of course, the first thing you should do is get it to App2, this will last a while. If you happen to see a App3 for Spectral Guard then jump on it, its pretty rare. And, I have yet to see a Adept1 for Spec Guard.

Initially, when you first get Spectral Guard, its really crummy - it seems to blow apart at the slightest nudge from a mob. Spectral Ward is still more powerful for several levels. But, as you progress and upgade, you will find yourself using Spectral Guard a lot more and using Spectral Ward as a secondary ward.

One thing to note tho, is that wards are not a complete replacement for your direct heals. The best strategy I have found in the 30's is to use Wards on incoming mob to fend off the alpha strike and then use a combination of direct heals and occasional re-warding. This ends up being more power efficient and also gives you a bit of time at the beginning of the fight to debuff the mob.
