anyone know if the following spells all produce the same human ink splotch (wraith form) , or does wraith form change .

20 - Baleful Countenance - Wraith form

34 - Sinister Countenance - Wraith form

48 - Malefic Countenance - Wraith form

-----------------------Montanan ----------------------------------------

2nd --- was also shocked to have my lil race defiler turn into what i think is a human in wraith form at 20th level.

Wouldnt it be best to have a genderless, spectral like ghost as our image, proportional to our original size? I will forward this to EQ2 devs somehow.

What do you all think?

i think:

-all forms will look the same

-i freakin hate my inky female turning into a big ape of a human male

-i dont know what i want to look like in fartform but i really dont wanna be a huge male ape

I agree, the wraith form should be completely genderless, like the one the Necros got in EQ1. It's almost like they just didnt spend the time to flesh it out more, it's a shame because of all the possibilities. It should at least be the appropriate size of your race, a gnome in wraith form should be small and a Troll should be large. The sad thing is I seriously doubt Sony will change this, maybe in some expansion pack 2 years down the road or something but not anytime soon. Bah, I'll run around as an evil rat.. SMILEY

I'm quite happy to look like me 'wraith-ified' but for sure not like some bearded male (I think it's a half-elf but could be human).

Frankly I never use the form which is a real shame because it ought to be awesome.

I think its bugged, prior to one of the last patches, baleful countenance was a pillar of smoke, no human form was visible, and talons of sarin used to extend like spiders legs from it when casting .. it was the positively coolest illusion ever.

However one of hte last patches changed/bugged it to a bearded man form.. as no one every answered any petitions or bug reports i put i have no idea if its intended or broken >

I'm almost 20 and very close to gaining Defiler and I am rather disturbed to hear that the form is human at all, and male at that. I would much rather prefer a real wraith form, which would not resemble anything other than a column of smoke. My character is female, what sense does it make having a male wraith form? Bah! I'm sending in my concerns as well.

Personally, i hope it ends up being purple/black smoke on the race set that each person has. Since your armor wouldn't probably change, but my body would turn into the "column of smoke" wearing my armor.

Im really upset. I hit 20 today and was so excited. I hit the spell and was like W T F? Im a little half-elf female and I was totally disgusted that I turned into some big male form with a beard.

I really hope it gets changed.

Yeh its ugly. I have sent a feedback/bug report daily on it. Not only is it ugly but it procs fear not a poisen direct dmg. I never end up using it cuz of the fear it always fears at bad times SMILEY

Plus with auspice using 2 concentration slots i rarely have the extra slot for it anyway SMILEY

This whole concentration thing kinda blows... i got buffs just cant use em much SMILEY

Finally got the form and it sucks. I love the stats it gives tho but I hate looking at the male form on my female character. Even if they just left our true forms and added the inky smoke that would be OK.

All this work and I'm so disappointed. Again I will state that I love the stats Defiler gives. I find soloing much easier with it. SMILEY

But the form is awful and I turn it off most of the time.

What found yesterday is that if you are in Wraith Form - have someone cast invisibility on you.

THEN it looks amazing - the way "it should be" IMHO. You really look like a wraith then. Just have them add the illusion of invisiblity on top of Wraith Form and problem solved.

Indeed, invis/smuggle wraith looks awesome. But still human male.

I'm troll Defiler, I had seem the wraith before so i was assuming I would get a troll-shaped wraith (smoky ears hehe) but instead I shrink 2 feet and become generic human. Suxxor. I wouldn't mind it so much if your armor went away when you transformed (wraith form without armor looks sweet) -- regardless, now I just double-up illusions for the wraith form benefit. Cast rat form, then cast wraith, I stay as daemon rat and get stat bonuses from wraith. SMILEY

I think we should keep harping on this till it changes. The stat buffs from it for the one concentration slot are awesome but I take it off whenever I'm out of combat. All defilers end up looking identical in battle basically with this thing and its not a cool look. Purple haze human/elf whatever. Make me a ghost or even better a ghostly version of my race. Have armour not show in wraith form as so far I'm not super impressed with armour anyway. It all looks the same brown/grey variation. New items do not change your look much unless you really are watching for it. Please SOE fix this into a cool illusion. It's important to a lot of us.
