OK, so I am level 53 and have been able to harvest a pearl and a vandium.  I have already upgraded torpor to adept III, and I was wondering what to upgrade next.  I have read the threads that relate to this topic but they aren't that much help.

I would appreciate some specific imput regarding the spells that I should use these two rares for.  Should I hold on to them and use them in my higher 50's? Do I upgrade weeping haze?  I am really unsure what course of action I should take.

I solo alot, but I enjoy grouping and look foward to doing instances.  I am also a part of a raiding guild.  What do you guys say?

Also, if you could be specific about names of spells rather than just saying "direct heals" or "buffs"  or "debuffs" I would really appreicate it.  The other threads on this subject are very vague about that which is part of the reason I am still confused.

Thanks

It really depends....

But to more precise as I read your post, you solo a lot and just started doing instances, you are not going to be part of the MT group for some while nor do you need to put every effort in maximizing every tiny little bitSMILEY

Hence I would wait with your t6 buffs if I were you. (also since your more important buffs are in the high 50s (foretelling 5SMILEY, spirit of the mammoth(60),umbral mettle(5SMILEY). However you should get all your t5 spells lvl 47-50 on adept3 (if not master), that will already give you 3 buffs to upgrade... namely ursine prophet(4SMILEY, runic talisman(47), avatar (47).

So what to upgrade then....

Well in 1 level you will get your single target ward on M2, which will help you improve your healing capabilities. As you already have torpor on adept3, I would say this is enough as for now. So get yourself some debuffs. Once again, you should upgrade all the t5 spells lvl 47-50, so chimerik(49), dreadful lethargy(49). Then I would spend one rare on grieving soul (53).

This would even you out quite a bit on both buffs/debuffs/healing capability.

The rest depends a lot on how fast you're going to level. I presume you solo a lot to get experience, but that it will stop once you ding 60. Depending on how often you mine and the chances you think you will have on more rares by having a steady cash inflow....  you can either get weeping haze (52) if you foresee you will get more rares in the upcoming future, or one of the dots(might help a bit for solo-ing, though it still sux no matter the quality imo). You can also wait for the grp ward one of your direct heals or even the badger...

Hope this helped a bit...

I love the spell Scream of the Ancients, nice STA debuff coupled with a great elem/nox debuff for the casters and scouts in your group.  This spell is always cast by me first.  Always.  If you're raiding, unfortunately, you need dang near everything in our line as high as you can get it.  Heals, buffs, and debuffs, imo, in that order.  If you are THE Mystic in your raiding guild, buffs are especially a priority, since you will (hopefully) be in the MT group.  Our damage spells should come last of course, unless you find yourself soloing alot (I did, I loathe soloing, but the Peacock line is a great time-killer when nothing is going down).  So....

If I was in your shoes, I would buy an WIS imbued pearl ring and Scream of the Ancients.  The nice part was that I didnt find many "had to have" spells level 55-56-57, aside from our minor heal, so you got a couple levels that you can get by with just upgrading to Adept 1.  I still dont have Transcendant Grace even scribed, that's what the pet is for.

The most important part is to keep harvesting SMILEY  You'll need alot more rares down the road.

Scream of the Ancients is a great debuff in both raids and groups. The combination of a large stamina debuff and lower resists to an entire encounter smooths the flow of combat. The use of the other rare is very situational. You say you are in a raiding guild... do you have other mystics? If so, what level are their debuffs? Do you raid often? Strangely enough I would probably save it for Umbral Attendant myself, the healing power on this spell is awesome as a group heal. But it really depends on the above questions.Pearl Jewelry is very nice, as a previous poster stated.
