I was impatient. I had my hubby log in and pick up my redesigned fury armor. I'm 57 but I love to have different outfits. All I can say is retinted rawhide armor SMILEY http://dreamtyme.org/linkout/eq-shots/new-aq-fury-front.jpg http://dreamtyme.org/linkout/eq-shots/new-aq-fury-back.jpg And for comparison purposes here is a picture of the warden armor: http://eq2test.com/download.php?id=107 Lessa Human Fury of Qeynos - Antonia Bayle

It's re-used noob armor graphics with a horrifying shade of green throughout. I promptly disposed of it.

Lol yeah its so bland I mean come on the warden armor looks greener I think so thats a little bit better but were in grey dull cloth like armor oh yeah that really makes me look like a fury, the destructive fore of nature incarnated lol looks more like something Id wear to hold the candle in church (not that I dot that but well you know hehe).

The new warden armor quest armor doesn't look much better I'm afraid, the same as ours but more green and less grey.

I too was very disappointed to see the new armor.  I can't believe they considered this an improvement.

Ok yeah it wasnt supposed to be an improvement but just something to look different.

Hmmm, yeah Id pick something to stand out and look ugly over something that looks ok hehe.

Ah well I dont really care as its lowbie armor to the max but I guess this will all go with the new plan of doing away with those subclass

quests and make it so that you choose your final class from the beginning (which is a big change but not too bad imo, just wondering how theyre gonna pull it off succesfully).

But the thing remains how does the new fury armor make a fury look, what type of character do you have, I mean I took my fury with the idea it was going to be a fierce animalistic protector and punisher of nature I know you can't please everyone but I dont see that back in the armor Im sure more people chose a fury in the knowledge we healed and did good dmg?

The armor makes druids look like choirboys even moreso furies as theyre in grey cloth, very priest like but not really druid like, the patchwork armor had more ties with druids maybe they shouldve retinted that stuff ah well.

Thanks for posting the screenshots-- You've saved me the trouble of picking up a new set for the looks. :/

I actually like the look of the new armor as an enseble but I have the old armor too and most of us aren't forced to wear it. I think the green gives it a druid look and overall the stats give you tons of wisdom. The old Freeport druid armor has a crumpled dark brown texture. If you like the patchy Suntouched look, you can always buy boiled leather armor. I'm still using my imbued cuirboili shirt and pants for soloing but may switch to the new AQ ones for grouping since they give you a lot more power. (The stats have changed since that screenshot above. I know the mitigation is pretty much the same as the old AQ gear.) Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

Retint, rehash, recolor, retexture, regurgitate

You know a game is in trouble when the model art quality is so poor and unvaried that high level 40s, 50s players are grouping in 'newly redone art' early level AQs in a desperate attempt to make their character appear as though they are in a video game created in the 21st century.

I'm going to go play Morrowind...
