![]() Barbarian by far are the best, can be both good and evil and with good all round stats.

![]() None are better, really. I went dark elf because I always do (played a dark elf warrior in EQ, hardly min/max) and I do have very nice wisdom at level 27. However, take away my starting advantage over, say, a troll and I'd lose maybe 15 wisdom. That equates to 45 power. Big deal, one less spell. It might make a difference from 1-20 but after 20 very few spells cost less than 45 power (unless you don't upgrade). After level 30 I'll bet even less spells will cost less than 45 power. As you level up the choice you made at the start of the game becomes less and less significant. And that's how it should be, not like in EQ where it's the opposite. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm very happy with my choice, dark elves are just made to be inquisitors, they fit the bill perfectly both statistically and visually, not to mention their definition of character. However, do not choose your race because it has a few more points of wisdom over another. Choose the race you want to play, not the one you feel you have to play. Starting stats make very little difference in the big scheme of things. This game provides you with ample opportunity to get great gear with great stats (it's nowhere near as tight with it's rewarding system as EQ was).

![]() Agreed Ydiss. I think many people above (including me) were simply spouting off IC - while my Ogre Inquisitor simply thinks Ogres are the best, IMRO any race does just fine. Heck, I have possibly the lowest starting WIS of any race, and I only get compliments of my role in any group, and I don't notice any Power disadvantages against other healers of other races I have met.

I agree that barbarians make the best inquisitors (frankly the best everything) but what barbarian would be weak enough to be a good cleric? Templars lack the will to bring the masses into line with the faith and, since they often leave penitants alive, suffer more backsliding than inquisitors. Ogres and trolls are drop-dead sexy but lack the intellect to carry on a conversation about the finer points of dogma. Elves (of all sort) spend more time worrying about getting their nails done than keeping the worshipful in line. Kerra take too many naps. Gnomes are lunatics. Humans (apart from barbarians) are too human. Iksar...please...we usually roasted scaly things back home. Erudite are too worried about their magical origins to care for cleansing the spirit. Finally, how can you trust those who come from Qeynos? If you weren't steeped in evil with your mother's milk how can you achieve greatness. No, barbarians are the best. |

Are your sure that they are cringing? I think it is more that they are trying to hide the burst of laughter... Of coarse there is fear in that laughter, because any Inquisitor should be feared! Teach them a lesson. Disipline above all else... Cringing is for the weak, laughter is a sign of disrespect either is cause for punishment!

![]() Many li'l peoplez make da mistake of tinkin' Vucub iz stupid. Vucub iz not stupid. He iz troll, but he iz priest. Da godz do not except dem dat do not have wizdom or dem dat do not have fait. When Vucub decide it time to bring fear, he bringz da fear. Da Tier'dal say dey smart, but dey get hit one time and crumple in whimperin' pain. Maybe dey iz smart, but dey is not tough. Da gnomes say dey iz smart, but I seen one pass out because he stood too close to da backside of a flatulent ogre. Dat not too smart at all. Humans iz giftless and weak. Dey trive in numbers, not alone. Da Inquisitor needz to alwayz be ready to stand alone. Erudites snap like damp twigs. Half elves iz too busy playin wit der hair and making pretty to be usefull. Halasianz can be gud, and Ogrez maybe better. Da ratz and da catz? Dey is good for eatin'. Trollz iz good at standin' da line. Trollz do not fall easily. Trollz wit faith do not fall.

![]() You should take a look at racial traits you get at 18th level. It may help you decide. I for one took Dark Elf in order to have a quicker regen rate for power. Works rather nice if you ask me

![]() Humans of course. All the other races are impure beings of disgusting heritage. The latest in Inquisition science shows that all non humans are sub-standard species who arent even really much more than animals that have somehow managed to get a handle on rudimentary speech and tool manipulation.

![]() Scarcest race seems to me to be Half-Elf. At least if you go by the number of postings in this thread. My favorite race for lots of classes is Barbarian. Heck I have one of the few Barbarian Enchanters on Mistmoore. (Barb Chanter is a blast. Their huge frames really stretch out the robe graphics in a pretty funny way. I get *a lot* of funny looks when I'm invited to group from across the zone and I finally show up.)But I did not make a Barbarian Cleric, I chose a Half-Elf. ![]() Dark Elves are by far the best looking, most snobbish, most appropriate race for an Inquisitor. Anything else makes me scoff.

My Human Inquisitor does great. I think my character looks appropriate for an inquisitor: cold blue armor and a nice morning star.Stats wise I would give barbs the edge, but I think in the end 5 wisdom may not matter. I don't really care for the barb appearance.-Dan
