So I'm in a group with 2 pets, a couple rogues and a zerker. We're getting to the places where I need to start actually healing so I start casting Intercession when the tank takes his first hit.Intercession starts firing off with SP boosting him back towards full then BAM BAM BAM he's falling like a rock again. Spot, spot, intercession, SP and this time intercession falls and SP is still healing! That ain't right!.Next fight I back up and watch the same routine. how much are these mobs hitting for anyways...I see the +220, +220 +148, +220 +148, +148 which means I lost 5 heals off Intercession!Watch again and notice...+38's coming off the pets. Dang mages are sucking power off their pets and intercession is "helpfully" healing them up. Off go the /tells "don't leach off your pets please, it prevents me from healing TANKER"The mages brings it into group "don't tell me how to play my class, I need to leach off my pet in order to nuke enough"Hmm, wonder who's side everyone else jumped on when they knew what the discussion was about.Anyway, be aware that if your Intercession is dropping too soon you may have to educate a pet class or 2.

![]() I play a Summoner and a Mystic. I never would have guessed that such a thing could happen. And when told about it, I never would have reacted like that. Mages are supposed to help replenish the Priest's power, not the other way around!

![]() Bump, I had this happen to me this weekend. I actually had two conjurers doing this at the same time at one point and I nearly blew a gasket when they kept on doing it after I asked them not to.

![]() I always informed pet class that I group with not to drain pet when in combat or when they see group reactive spell icon on. Explain to them nicely and usually you will have np. :smileyvery-happy: Message Edited by Uilamvan on 02-23-2005 07:29 PM

![]() Yes, I would expect that 99% of the time the mage has no idea he is affecting the reactive heal and just needs a bit of education. For that matter, it seems like the majority of the time the tank doesn't realize I'm using a reactive heal either. :smileywink: |
