Am I the only one who's [Removed for Content] off about Deathly Pallor? We wait 43 levels to get a Feign Death, which we had in the original EverQuest at level 16, only to find out that it has a 0% chance to succeed against mobs over level 35...it also has a 15 minute recast and wipes all of your buffs. Argh! New Sony Online Entertainment model "SOE: Sticking it to the Necromancers since 1999"?

It is successful 100% of the time. Display bug. The 15min sucks though, even at master 1

Only lvl 42, so don't have spell yet. Is it successful 100% of the time against any lvl mob? or is there a cap (as the display msg suggests)

I have used it successfully when fighting Darathar so its pretty safe to say it works against all mobs.

Wow, I had tried it against 49's, but didn't know it would hold against Epic's. Cool

Pallor hasn't held for me once during an epic. I'm only 45 at the moment so maybe I have to hit 50, anyone know?

![]() I've succeeded against a number of Epic X4 mobs. Of course, when you're down, you're still subject to AE effects, AND you don't have your mitigating buffs on. Consequently, you can FD successfully and still die as the mob [Removed for Content]-slaps other people with AEs. |

Nope, I've tested this a few times on Epicx4s. I'll run away as we're about to wipe and FD. The mobs will come after me, attack and kill me while I'm lying on the ground. The other Necro in my guild says they must be smelling the Rat...

![]() Interesting... I've FD'd against Zalak, the eyeball of MoM, Darathur, King whathisface in Permafrost all with success. I wonder if maybe it's somehow level related like invis? |

![]() There are three major culprits of our FD (and I have used it against 57x4s sucsessfully as well as Darathar) and they are:
Lag DoTs AE
Lag is the worst. You hit FD but he has already begun casting/swinging - you die DoTs don't suspend when you FD so they can tick you down - you die AE will hit you even when FD so tell the group idiots to not stand near you when you are FD - you die |

![]() I've been on raids starting at level 46, and never had a problem with FD sticking, even at level 46 against 51+ Group x4 mobs. But you have to really be careful not to have anyone in the raid train that mob near you, because it can and will almost everytime use an aoe attack against the guy training you, getting you killed in the process. It's pretty cool having that spell in combination to my rez spell, because it makes me seriously wanted in raids. My guild is getting really good about not bringing the mobs anywhere near me while I'm FD'd, they've all learned to just move away and die. If at all possible, I find it best to try to get to the zone entrance to drop, that way the rest of the raid knows not to run there themselves.

![]() C'mon man if you searched the forums you would realize that it works just fine, and pretty much always. Tell SOE to fix our illusions and pet tank animation. :smileytongue: |
