![]() From what Ive seen and heard, Necro mage pet owns the conjuror mage pet, but the scout conjuror pet owns the necro scout pet. Even had my necro buddy play my conjuror for a day. He agreed, but I have yet to play a necro, so cant really say. But on a single target mob, I obilerate a necro in a parse with my scout pet. Regardless of which pet they use. Course I get own'd when the multiple mob encounters are up

Um.If you're getting owned as a conjuror on multiple mob encounters, then please do our class a favor and re-roll.As for the constructive portion of this, conjuror and necromancer pets are comparable. Much of the pet damage from the conjuror is supplemental, meaning you have to do something to cause it. Necromancer mage pet has group and self heals a la lifetap; Conjuror mage pet has straight up nukes. (Also encounter nukes)Scout pets are very comparable. The difference lie in the type of damage. Conjurors will own group encounters. Read that: OWN. 2k+ DPS on a raid own. (Higher if your DPS is right with you and your tank is good.)Necromancers on a single target will do much better. Not saying they fail on encounters, but they don't shine like we do. To answer your question, pets are comparable, but different. Play whichever one is fun, not whichever one you think is better today; because tomorrow everything might change.Thank you,

Here is the difference between the stances. The necro pet stances involve lifetap type small heals, the conj defensive stance is a damage ward, for example, since I mastered the defensive stance at 14, it absorbs 23 damage from each hit. I dont know how many hp my necro pet has, but my 25 conj tank has 1580 or so at adept 3 with the defensive stance buff up. As opposed to my mage adept 3 pet with the offensive stance that has a whopping 230ish :p Conjurors have way more spells designed to help thier pet than necros do. Our pet heal is better, since its a flat heal, not a heal over time that sucks the life out of us, we have better buffs like fire seed and fire shield, as well as our own version of the necro pet buff that lowers mob resistance to deasise and poison. That being said, necros ARE pretty nasty in a fight, so basically, it all boils down to wether you prefer stacking dots on mobs, or blasting them to smithereens.

![]() Blasting them with what our one nuke and the stun? Every thing we use is a dot. When you say better pet buffs are you taking into account they get a bezerk buff where we get a proc buff? Their mage pet tends to hit and do better only because most mobs dont have a high nox save, where as elemental is always a problem. There are also more people that debuff nox than elemental so do with that as you will. I would trade emberseed for a bezerk proc for my acout pet any time."A minion augmentation which grants a chance at berserking the minion in combat. This increases their attack speed and combat attack damage." http://eqsummoners.com/ I would put a screen shot of the spell but theirs is broken atm. I beg to differ that necro scout pet is weaker than ours. I have yet to see a scout pet necro on any of our raids not parse very high even with out a good buff group.

![]() Necros will do more single target damage. Conjurors will do more group/AE damage. Necros have DOTs, feign death, and their pet can lifetap to someone. Conjurors have DD, stoneskin, and better group buffs. |

The difference between the 2 classes is pretty minimal. The only real difference I've been able to see is what most people say: Necro's are better at 1v1 encounters, Conjurors are better at group encounters. The only thing I like more about necro's is what their pets look like, other than that, I love my Conjuror. I considered betraying to Necro, but after seeing what Conjurors can bring to the table and the buffs they get etc. I definately plan on sticking with my Conjuror. As far as the difference between the pets go, I don't really know, I was in a group with 2 necro's the other night in FG and my pet parsed higher than either one of theres, we were all in the top 3 but I outparsed them by about 200-300 damage with an adept III pet Adept I agitation. 1 necro had the same, the other one only had app 4 version of Agitation. So, yeah, a lot of mixed info out there, but from ~my~ understanding they are both very good caster classes with not many differences between them. So as far as I can tell and from what I've read, they parse about the same amount of damage end-game, so you just have to look at their "class defining" spells and figure out which ones you like or benefit more from. Just my 02. from a lowbie Conjuror who has spent as many hours reading the Conjuror boards as playing a Conjuror lol.
