Hi,

I wonder if I stuck with only one pet or if I get the ability to summon more then one pet at a time in later levels?

You only get 1 long term pet at a time that does anything. You can summon both your regular pet and the mushroom pet from the arena that does nothing but follow you around, but that is useless. You also get swarm pets but they are essentially single target DOT's that can draw aggro and die fast. When the target dies, the swarm pets goes away. For what it is worth, I've had my tellurian, my fish, my flame, and my mushroom up all at once during battle.

One interesting use of the mushroom pet for raiding Conjurors:Summon your "real" pet.  Summon the mushroom.Fight as normal.  As a raider, you will often find your pet getting killed by a riposte or AE.  When your pet gets killed, before you recast, Sacrifice the mushroom for a nice little power burst in the middle of the fight.  Recast the mushroom after the fight so he's ready for next time.

Aye, you can Sac him, but the real bonus is that you can summon him before the fight, so long as you summon in the proper order.  It saves you 10 seconds of cast time in the fight and gives you that nice power burst for your group. It's very situational, but a nice trick when used properly.

The way I typically use it is to help the raid get a timer started on an AE.I'll summon my Air pet, then the mushroom.Mob pulled.  Send in Air pet and start casting spells.  When the Air pet dies, we use that as the first mark to start timing the AE.Sac the shroom right here for the power pump and recast pet.Your mileage may vary.

Odd indeed.

I'm a level 57 Conjurer and have no idea what a "mushroom" pet is.

Someone help me out here....what in the world is it...and how do I get one????

Wow....it never ceases to amaze me by the amount of stuff I don't know about this game.

Solo arena is right next to the merchant in Splitpaw.  I didn't find it very difficult as a Conjuror to complete.

The solo arena is probaly the easiest part of Splitpaw. Plus you get the flaming pig head for your apartment and a nice +10 wisdom orb for finishing it. The mushroom pet is fun to play with. Because you can poke him and make a bunch of spores pop out. If your just going after the mushroom take the lowest diffuculty version of the solo arena and you should fly through it. So to prove you can have three out at once. Heres my screenshot using the group earth elemental illusion. Note that the wisp is actually hovering there. Since the wisp hovers so does its different illusion versions.

I tried the arena a few times. Every time it said. "you are to high, you will recive no reward" or something to that effect across my screen.

what i think whould be a awsome thing to put into game and to necro's so they don't [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn],, instead of having 1 pet you could split it into 3- each one only having 33% strength and ablity of the WHOLE one  , and pet window adapt to 3 by having same normal commands  but for 3 ,,,2 attack 1 guards you,, or all 3 attacking  a group of 3 mobs 1 to each mob,, but remember each pet only has 33% strength or the parent pet, so you'll have to  pay attention,,  better yet pet merging  fire with earth,, air with earth,, by  this kinda combine pet gains more options and ways to performa with out being over powered by the reg whole pet    (earth+fire merge) 50% earth ablitys 50% fire ablitys)  whould still = 100% kind of pet no more no less here's a fews pics what a merger whould look like FIRE+EARTH COMBOEARTH+AIR combo SMILEY

if you are level 50 or above you can not do the splitpaw content. Create a new alt and have them do it.

Bummer.  I'm well above 50 right now.

Are you aware if I would be able to "mentor down" and somehow gain the additional pet like that?  It would be simple if I could do that...I have two accounts...both with splitpaw...I could just go in together as a small group.

Another question...

I'm trying to figure out how to get the power boost by sacrificing a pet...and since I may have missed my opportunity to get a second pet (the mushroom) in Splitpaw, maybe there is another way to do it.

I have a respec coming that I haven't taken...can I take the little light/orb pet and sacrafice that?  Will it do the same thing?

The mushroom pet only drops in the Solo Arena, so no, you won't be able to get it by mentoring down.  Unless by mentoring in the main area it'll let you enter the instance.

Even if it let you in Mentored. The Arena is solo and you wouldnt be mentored going into it.
