![]() So I finally got the adept 3 Tellurian Myrmidon and have to say, it sure looks tankish compared to the purple monkey ( although for some reason I miss the monkey lol ). However, after scribing it and then running out to test it on some mobs, I noticed that there wasn't a big jump in it's tanking ability ( mainly, it's ability to take damage ). There was maybe a slight improvement, but not very noticeable. I thought moving from an Adept 3 Veteran to an Adept 3 Myrmidon would be a bigger change. So, does this mean the only real difference is the fact that the new pet can grow in levels with me? Is the app1-Master upgrades working? Or am I expecting too much? Well considering that pets have no mitigation, its only improvement will be increased damage output, and increased hit points. Also, I believe Myrmidon was quite bugged in Beta. It could still very well be.

I've noticed a huge difference with the Myrmidon. Myself and a 48 scout where burning down the spectres in SS last night. Both the 47^^^ and the 48^^^. Pet was the tank, didn't need to heal him too much, since we were able to dish out a lot of damage pretty quickly, and I had them stunned whenever possible. Myrmidon is kinda large, and tends to block doorways a lot, but it's such a nice change to have a mean looking pet again.

![]() Conjurer pets have mitigation, it comes in the form of a group buff that Conjurers do.

True, but unless that number from the buff increases, then the pets will have the same mitigation, and therefore take the same amount of damage. However, one thing I didn't consider is that the higher level the pet the higher the Defense and Parry skill, which translates to higher avoidance. That alone would make the Myrmidon defend a little better than the Veteran pet.
