![]() Just curious does this spell proc of our pet? or other mage pets? "An augmentation placed on the illusionist's ally that grants them a chance at dealing additional mental damage before every hostile spell they cast. " Our pet is a mage pet, it casts spells, its definitly an ally...... :smileyhappy: |

![]() Yes, it does proc off pets, including personae and fire elemental pets from conjurers. I haven't tried it on charm pets. It doesn't proc much on fighter type pets (earth pets) due to their spells being mainly CAs, not spells. Zebsen

It'll proc on Mages, Crusaders, Priests, Mage pets(Personae, Charmed Mage Pets, Conjuror Fire Pet, Necromancer Warlock Pet), and Bards the most. Scouts have a few spells, but they aren't very common(mostly their snare). Also, Taunts will proc it so Fighters as well. But, honestly unless it's a Personae, Mage Pet, or a Mage, it's not worth casting on people.

![]() Sweet, and as there is a chance to lower threat with that spell (not mentioned on the ogaming, but in the description on the spell in game) my pet can always use a little lesser aggro. Thanks for the answere Message Edited by uberpaco on 10-18-2006 11:52 PM |

![]() It should work like that. That is harder to detect since agro/hate is done behind the scenes and doesn't show up directly on a parser. You want your pet to have less hate? /shrug. I would think you would want it to have more hate when soloing. When grouping, I can't imagine our pet stealing agro from anything. Our pet does root things, and if it is the only thing in range of a rooted mob, it may take a few hits. Otherwise... One thing I'll add is that I view the de-agro as more of an offset to the damage of the spell. In other words, if the spell procs, the damage + deagro amount to about zero. So, it's basically agro-free damage. The deagro may slightly overcome the damage, but it's nothing like a scout evade. Zebsen Message Edited by ZebsenChanter on 10-19-2006 08:40 AM |

The de-aggro portion of the spell is nearly useless. Especially if the 1hate=1damage holds true. This would mean you're only losing 258.5 threat everytime it procs if you're at the INT cap, no debuffs on the mob, and it doesn't crit. Considering how little that threat is, it doesn't really count as a de-aggro, but more as well, just a damage proc.

The aggro reduction is 634-775 deaggro (MasterII), which isn't marvelous, but still beats 3%:smileywink:Shadow Knights are also useful to cast this buff on (mages in plate)."An augmentation placed on the illusioniist's ally that grants them a chance at dealing additional mental damage.IF the recipient of this spell is not a fighter class and not a pet, their target's hate towards them after every hostile spell they cast has a chance of begin reduced.Target: Raid or Group friendOn a successful hostile spell this spell has a 33% chance to cast Dynamist on target of spell.

Well I multi-box, a sk, a illu and a inq. In tought fights I tend to concentrate on the sk and inq, and even if its not often but sometimes in multi group encounter I find that the pet has a mob of its own, and if it lessen the threat it self to the mob its fighting I can easier get the aggro again.
